I'd like to get I guess around 8+/- varied-size stone slabs for decoration in my new apt. Something like in the picture below, except separated pieces. I checked Lowe's and Home Depot websites and Googled it but found no good resources. If anyone knows where I can look for that sort of thing, I'd appreciate that info as well.

There is some kind of rock/stone place on hillsbourough street past the fair grounds away from campus. I have NO idea if they have what you're looking for, but it might not be a bad place to check at least.

they should have what you are looking for on hillsborough stright beside the fairgrounds at the corner of youth center and hillsboroughthe guy that runs the company (Brad) is one of my best friendsthey have decent prices on any stone, rock, dirt, sand, mulch that you need

Ncsutiger, you know they have a special type of concrete that can be polished to look exactly like stone, and it's 10x cheaper and shapeable

We went to Bele Chere and stayed with at the home of our friend's parents and when I mentioned that I wanted stones like what they have in their landscaping, his dad helped me round some up, so I'm good to go

I've got some big chunks of polished granite (from kitchen counter tops) that I'd sell cheap if you want to add something different.

Can't recall the name of it but if your near Apex, there is a business selling these goods on Hwy 55 heading from Apex to Durham on the right.
