has anyone ever purchaed a townhouse or condo and actually selected what the would like to have in the townhouse?

I think he means cabinets, fixtures, wallpaper, carpet color, etc.

I have selected all of that for the house I bought, which wasn't that much more than a townhouse

I built my single family home from the ground up. Altered the plans, picked all design features, everything.

My parents just bought a townhouse, and they got to choose everything. It's not in NC, but if they were able to do it in GA, I assume you would be able to do it somewhere around here, if you're just trying to find out if that's possible.
