can't top Jack
7/20/2006 5:01:22 PM
I trust whoever they decide to play the Joker...the first movie was awesome, they won't fuck up a sequel
7/20/2006 5:05:01 PM
you're a joker
7/20/2006 5:08:34 PM
7/20/2006 5:11:20 PM
7/20/2006 5:13:31 PM
Heath would def be a interesting Joker...don't anyone could eva top Jack as Joker...but Heath may have just enough charisma and intricate charm to pull off the Joker in an exciting way...FBB was just about perfect and I don't they would stray to off course to ruin the sequel...(it has been known to happen-but I want to keep a positive outlook for once and not desecrate the movie before it even gets started). III
7/20/2006 5:16:15 PM
I can actually see this. I was actually rooting for Paul Bettany (sp?) for the role who was in a Knight's Tale w/ Ledger though.
7/20/2006 5:21:06 PM
Well shit, if jake gyllenhall can be the new aquaman...
7/20/2006 5:21:22 PM
^well aquaman is gay so he is perfectand personnaly, i see heath as anything but charismatic. he seems boring in most of his roles, just a normal guy. maybe i havent seen enough of his movies but i just cant picture him as categorically insane.
7/20/2006 5:30:03 PM
i can see this
7/20/2006 5:33:01 PM
he was the shit in ned kelly
7/20/2006 5:34:51 PM
They could have just gotten Yahoo Serious
7/20/2006 5:37:20 PM
i'm with ender on Paul Bettany, though i'd also fully support Crispin Gloveri could also see Alan Tudyk doing itbut Heath Ledger?come on nowwhat the fuck.
7/20/2006 5:47:46 PM
if only mark hamill had the physical build for it
7/20/2006 5:51:45 PM
gwen stefani
7/20/2006 5:54:25 PM
In the first batman movie, they had the joker shooting waynes parent's will they still continue this trend???
7/20/2006 6:07:00 PM
Paul Bettany would be good.
7/20/2006 6:07:32 PM
^^ have you seen batman begins?
7/20/2006 6:28:13 PM
hmmm...ok, so i actaully like the job heath ledger does in most movies...but i can't see him as the joker...personally... i'd shoot for Crispin Glover...
7/20/2006 7:01:32 PM
Agreed. Crispin Glover might put a different spin on the Joker but it still would be good. I can't wait to see him as Grendel.
7/20/2006 7:17:44 PM
7/20/2006 7:18:25 PM
if they go for an older joker they should do gary busey or ted nugent
7/20/2006 8:17:54 PM
i didnt know the Joker was a faggot
7/20/2006 8:47:02 PM
7/20/2006 9:15:03 PM
nah man
7/20/2006 9:33:05 PM
7/20/2006 9:34:01 PM
Random offering: Brad Dourif.
7/20/2006 9:34:53 PM
i can see him as the Joker
7/20/2006 9:45:20 PM
so they are basically just running through the whole batman series again? aren't there any more enemies out there?
7/20/2006 9:52:41 PM
^ the joker was batmans biggest enemy, they have to touch on it. if they do a third i'm sure that they'll feature a more obscure one that hasn't been in a movie yet.
7/20/2006 10:00:20 PM
heath ledger is pretty far out of left field, but it might just be mad enough to work! haha!
7/20/2006 10:58:33 PM
this is a horrible idea.
7/20/2006 11:08:03 PM
7/20/2006 11:36:33 PM
Yah, I saw batman begins, but in the original batman movie, the Joker shot B's parents?[Edited on July 21, 2006 at 12:03 AM. Reason : Are they going to start clean slate?]
7/20/2006 11:46:46 PM
the point was that in Batman Begins some regular thief killed the parents, whereas the Joker killed the parents in Batman (Old first movie)... they can't have the Joker kill his parents again, it's just hard to pull that story together
7/21/2006 12:19:10 AM
I like Heath (or I did until humpback)...but I'm kinda skeptical.
7/21/2006 5:13:44 AM
He basically already did the part in Lords of Dogtown without the makeup, so I don't see a big problem with this.
7/21/2006 6:32:26 AM
Adrien Brody
7/21/2006 8:06:49 AM
7/21/2006 8:12:17 AM
I thought he found out it was some random thug named Joe Chill?Anyway, the Joker should be played by Will Arnett.
7/21/2006 8:30:12 AM
Last I'd heard, Joe Chill was another mislead... then again I haven't read any of the last couple years.
7/21/2006 9:25:43 AM
Then you should read 52 #6, because according to Part 5 of "The History of the DC Universe," Batman learned Joe Chill murdered his parents and brought him to justice.
7/21/2006 9:29:35 AM
omg retcon foils me again
7/21/2006 9:30:53 AM
When I saw the card at the end of Batman Begins, I was both happy and worried at the same time. The Joker is easily the best villain in the Batman series, so this could be a make-it or break-it character for me in this new series. The original Batman is still my favorite based on the performances in that movie and storyline, but Batman Begins is second and contended for the top spot. If they can find a Joker that is great then this next one will likely become my favorite if done properly.I don't think they'll find anyone as good as Jack, and hopefully I'll go in not trying to compare the two with whoever they pick.I liked Heath in A Knight's Tale, but I'm not quite sure about him as the Joker. The casting in the first one went really well, so as long as the same people are working on it, I'm sure they will do a pretty good job casting for this one.
7/21/2006 11:17:09 AM
I wish I could quit you Batman...
7/21/2006 11:24:53 AM
What is everyone's obsession with Jack's Joker? I never did like it. And I loved that movie when I was little. He just didn't portray the character well enough for me.
7/21/2006 11:29:03 AM
Jack did a great job as Joker but I like the idea of going with a younger Joker and not killing him off in the same damn movie since he is suppose to be a lasting nemises for Batman...when they kill off major villians in comic movies it upsets me...especially their arch nemises.. III
7/21/2006 11:34:02 AM
well i don't think the comparison is necessary, or even warranted, between Jack's Joker and the new Joker.New Director, New Storyline, New Actors.... but the crowd will NOT recognize that. as we see here, people still see one interpretation of batman as part of a canon with all others. This isn't like Superman returns, where ideas and plots from the first 2 were referenced and loosely based... this is a "reset" on the batman series. Don't bash Jack in favor of the new guy, that's absurd. and don't say the new guy was any better or worse than Jack. It's the same role in name only.
7/21/2006 11:35:22 AM
i wouldn't be too upset with this10 Things I hate about Batman
