Does anyone on here have their dog registered as one? I've been toying with the idea for a couple years now and I think my dog would be absolutely great with it (especially kids), but I don't know if it's worth it...like are there alot of places around Raleigh that allow therapy dogs? Also...I know there's a couple different agencies that they can register through, is one more accredited than the others??

I don't have a therapy dog but I know of people with therapy dogs. You can contact Team Works Dog Training and talk to someone there about it. http://www.teamworksdogtraining.com

Me and one of my dogs are working on getting certified now...He's already certified as an AKC canine good citizen.
It takes time, but it is sooo rewarding. I take my dog to my grandmother's nusing home and they love him there.
But really, it depends on which organization you get certified through as to what they require.
