Ben Roethlisberger was on Sportscenter in his first interview. His face, especially his left face looked different. Said he almost died due to a blood in his stomach.

Said he "forgot" his helmet in the basement that day.

He also said he was focused on football and wouldn't rule out riding a motorcycle again.

Liar! People need to start taking responsibility for their screw-ups. I'd have more respect for him if he did.

Do you people even educate yourselves before you read?

He said he rides with it sometimes and sometimes not. Maybe "forgot" wasn't the right choice of words, but it isn't like he is trying to cover anything up.

he also said he doesnt like to wear it when he rides

"forgot" takes on a whole different meaning now

either way he is a dumbass and he's lucky he can still play. Wonder how well his head can take the punishment of the upcoming season.

Not really. Your perception is screwed because in NC it is required and what you are used to seeing, and you automatically think anyone riding without it is a massive idiot. Well, if you have logged a ton of miles without a helmet, then you just get used to not having it. Then, someone tells you to start wearing it, you go through a phase where sometimes you think about it and you grab it, sometimes you don't.

It's like wearing your retainer. You know you should but you don't until one day you realize your teeth are all fucked up.

i think anyone riding a motorcycle without a helmet is a massive idiot because i know how dangerous motorcycles can be, not because of the NC law

Ignorance/Denial often makes athletes, especially quarterbacks, great. Think about it, everytime they take a snap, 11 muscle-bound guys are trying to take their heads off. And they have to make themselves believe, "oh.....I'll be be fine. Nothing bad will happen".
