I understand not trying to be a comercialized band but when the only good song you play is by The Band....and only 2/8 good original songs you have then it is time to quit

you are out of your fucking mindor you've never listened to the black crowes or bothand i don't even know of any songs they've covered by The Band.
7/13/2006 12:41:06 AM
is that like pdiddy's da band?
7/13/2006 12:58:31 AM
he was talking about the show tonight, they covered "Up On Cripple Creek"but they do have well over 8 good original songs... their set still sucked
7/13/2006 1:08:58 AM
Yeah, that was by far the worst concert I've ever been too. If I wanted to hear a bad jam band I'd go to the brewery. If those tickets hadn't been free I'd have asked for my money back.

The Black Crowes never play their hits... i thought this was a well-known thing

Welcome to '94.
7/13/2006 7:14:35 AM
well damn, i almost went to this showglad i didnt know
7/13/2006 8:39:51 AM
do any of you really know the Black Crowes' music fairly well? Like, do you have all (or nearly all) of their albums?would you know a good set if it slapped you in the face?i wasn't at the concert, so i can't say for sure, but i just have this feeling that a lot of people who don't know anything by the Black Crowes besides Hard To Handle, Twice As Hard,, and [i]She Talks To Angels[i] went out there, and it wasn't a case of the Crowes playing a bad show so much as a case of not playing what you expected.

They're pretty much the last good blues rock band left.

That was a great show, I don't know wtf is wrong with you guys. I guess you only like radio hits.Of course, it wasn't as good as when they played with Jimi Page and Audley Freed.
7/13/2006 11:38:42 AM
^^ yeah, i meant old school.
7/13/2006 11:39:33 AM
^^is Audley Freed gone now? are they back to the original guitarist, or is it someone new?
7/13/2006 4:07:15 PM
They're back to the original guitarists, Marc Ford and Rich Robinson. Audley Freed is playing with the Dixie Chicks now *snicker*.Audley Freed is from Burgaw, NC for those that don't know. He used to play with Cry of Love and the Black Crowes.[Edited on July 13, 2006 at 6:35 PM. Reason : ?]

there is only one comment to be made about what the crowes played, and that is, that they honored Master Syd Barrett with their encore, "Lucifer Sam".and for you douches that have to whine about what they played...or to even figure out what the fuck I'm talking about... ncstateccc if you went to an Allman Brothers concert would you be mad if they didnt play Ramblin' Man??
7/16/2006 11:43:42 AM
Was a good show, they are musically talented..... I didnt like it only because at the time i was too drunk to enjoy anything that i hadnt heard of. But overall, maybe the band, knowing ticket sales were not good (most everyone i talked to got them for free) did not feel the need to play the best known hits and took the time to do what they wanted to play. Always been a fan of the black crowes work and would go to another show (and not drink as much).

They play My Morning Song quite often it seems, at least the last few times I have seen the Crowes. I agree, its one of their best, along with Wiser Time.
