As a NCSU alum I wanted to post this job here - its good for a recent grad who needs research experience:NC WAY to Health Temporary Research Assistant PositionProgram Description:North Carolina WAY (Worksite Activities for You) to Health is a 3 year study that works with the employees of community colleges to learn more about effective weight loss programs that can be implemented at the worksite. The study will evaluate the effects of three different programs on participating employee weight, physical activity and nutritional habits. Assessment Event Description:At the assessment events, WAY staff will obtain weight and body composition measurements for each participant, distribute and collect survey instruments and answer participant questions. Other tasks for this position will include calling participants to confirm or schedule appointments, filing completed surveys and other study documentation, and completing general event-related tasks.Job DescriptionWe are looking for assessment team members who are available to work on location for these tasks. We will provide:• Human Subjects Certification training and event specific training• Transportation to and from events from office (1700 Airport Rd)• Hotel accommodations when overnights are involved• Meal reimbursements when overnights are involved• Experience in working with participants in a research setting• Hourly pay for up to 40 hours per week.The applicant should have good customer service skills and have a professional demeanor. Punctuality is important as well as attention to detail. Previous experience working in research or a fast paced work environment is desirable. Health education or nonprofit experience a plus! This position requires travel and will not work for students. how much of this is overnight stuff ? i bartend at night and dont want to have to quit doing that too

There are 7 schools that require overnights, and they would be divided between two teams. The overnights would be like a Tuesday/Wednesday night in general. You would know your schedule as soon as you are hired and what nights would be overnights so I don't think it would be a problem to keep another night time job. Some schools require us to return to the office late though, like 6 or 8 but again you would know that as soon as you are hired.
