http://www.southernpigskin.com/page.cfm?story=11171&cat=exclusivesI agree with pretty much all of it except Georgia being listed as a "Gracious" host... fuck that, they are the biggest asshole fans I have ever seen

I dont want Chuck to go anywhereunless some bigtime coach comes out and expresses interest in coming here (see Bill Cowher, etc.)
7/8/2006 9:58:42 AM
i agree, i like Chuck and he has done a lot for this program

7/8/2006 11:29:51 AM
I'm not ready to kick Chuck Amato out of town. I call bullshit.
7/8/2006 11:31:14 AM
yup
7/8/2006 11:34:04 AM
I call bullshit. Florida State has the biggest bunch of assholes I've ever seen.
7/8/2006 12:02:06 PM
true but Georgia is pretty badright up there with Alabama & Texas
7/8/2006 12:06:14 PM
So one media outlet thinks we're myopic for wanting Chuck gone, and then another media outlet calls him the most overrated coach in college football. It's either one extreme or the other, I guess. There's no place for moderate feelings.
7/8/2006 12:36:11 PM
well espn is run by raging faggots anyhow so who cares what they think or say
7/8/2006 12:50:43 PM
kick chuck's ego out of town, add some discipline and a splash of decent coaching, and we'll see where he stands after this year.
7/8/2006 2:59:08 PM
I agree with most of this. I wish we would win more though!
7/8/2006 8:06:27 PM
19-2 out of conference recordyou would think that would make him a great coach, but then again..........look at who we playAs for fans, State is close to the worst, but from experience fsu(thug state) fans are the worst.I do wish NC state fans would quit calling everyone faggots. We having the highest % of guys in the acc, expect for maybe V-Tech(thug Tech).
7/9/2006 1:34:52 AM
you can't argue that Chuck isn't an underachiever after the 2006 NFL Draft.
7/9/2006 2:39:58 AM
Actually, yes I can. Pretty well actually.
7/9/2006 2:44:34 AM
somebody recruited all those guysno it wasn't p riv
7/9/2006 2:45:46 AM
and somebody helped hype the program to a level that puts asses in the stands, and helps generate money for the huge improvements in facilities.and somebody helped develop those young men, some of which weren't even highly recruited, into first round draft picks.
7/9/2006 2:47:12 AM
^^^^^ GA Tech is like 75% male/25% indians[Edited on July 9, 2006 at 2:47 AM. Reason : 5]
7/9/2006 2:47:29 AM
well I'm glad he used all those guys to earn a stellar 7-5* record[Edited on July 9, 2006 at 2:50 AM. Reason : *5-5 against real teams]
7/9/2006 2:48:39 AM
ur right, GT is all dudes, but still, I think my point is valid. And slackerb, he did put asses in the seats, develop nfl players, and help build great facilities. But ur missing one thing. Its called WINS.[Edited on July 9, 2006 at 2:54 AM. Reason : more]
7/9/2006 2:51:48 AM
7/9/2006 2:55:12 AM
7/9/2006 2:56:55 AM
so he should have recruited a bunch of mediocre guys and kinda developed them all a little so nobody stands out enough to get drafted and we're UNC
7/9/2006 2:59:44 AM
what the fuck?Fallacy much?I'll say it again, how many coaches have gone 7-5* with 3 future first round draft picks?
7/9/2006 3:01:42 AM
i don't care if you have a hall of fame defensive linewhen your offensive line wears rollerskates and your quarterback options are jay davis and marcus stone, you are fucked
7/9/2006 3:03:02 AM
and whose fault is that? not chuck the almighty super-duper recruiter's, of course, couldn't be at all.[Edited on July 9, 2006 at 3:05 AM. Reason : and dare I mention that we started winning when chuck put in Brown at RB, midway through the season?][Edited on July 9, 2006 at 3:06 AM. Reason : and stone for that matter][Edited on July 9, 2006 at 3:06 AM. Reason : i'm glad chuck waited that long. but that's not chucks fault]
7/9/2006 3:04:51 AM
chill out, i'm not defending chuck
7/9/2006 3:06:20 AM
i figured someone would use that argument eventually so i was trigger-happy when i saw the slightest indication of it [Edited on July 9, 2006 at 3:12 AM. Reason : fhds]
7/9/2006 3:07:44 AM
You blame the offensive line, the quaterback etc. um............thats kind of my point. Its like when he "develops" nfl players he deserves credit, but when the rest of the team sucks, well thats not his fault. Thats their fault. Its not like he can play or anything geez.
7/9/2006 3:09:13 AM
"underachieving" means chuck did a little with a lot. i'm not sure where you think we underachieved. for the most part, the guys who were supposed to be good did well; the guys who didn't sometimes did pretty well, too.we sure as hell didn't underachieve on the d-line or on defense in general. we were a little weaker in the secondary this year, but we did pretty awesome considering we didn't return any starters at their previous positions.did we underachieve on the offense? do you seriously think we had that much wasted talent in our passing game? we had some okay receivers who made do with what was thrown their way. the fastest guy got kicked off the team. we had one quarterback who made some beautiful throws followed by terrible decisions and 30-yard sacks, and another who thinks he's a running back. chuck has evidently sucked at recruiting and developing an o-line and qb's and receivers ever since norm left, but i wouldn't call that underachieving, because there was never much promise there to begin with. he just needs consistent help at OC.if you look at the big picture of his 6 years here, especially given the history our football program, if you look at the facilities he's built and excitement he's brought here, i don't see how you can call him an underachiever.
7/9/2006 3:28:08 AM
the fact that chuck put in brown and stone around the same time and we got instant success tells me that he could have done it earlier, which could have meant more wins, which means we got less wins than we should have, which in my book=underachieving.
7/9/2006 4:39:39 AM
well Stone wasn't very good in the beginning of the season. remember the EKU game? so we probably would have done worse if he was the starter during the beginning of the season. now around the midway point he was better and we were able to go 5-1 with him. also i thought AB was having fumbling problems in practice at the beginning of the season and that's why he wasn't put in more.

yeh, it's the players at FSU that give them a bad rep
7/9/2006 10:58:32 AM
yeah, i've always had good experiences with FSU fans. The only consistently bad fans I've encountered (besides ours) are maryland, UNC(but most of that is attributable to the "non-existent" rivalry) and UVA.
7/9/2006 11:42:08 AM
FSU's fans and VT's fans are classy.uncch fans, typically, are a bunch of douchebags. Maryland's and Clemson's fans are vulgar and rude. Wake Forest's dozen or so fans will talk trash when your back is to them.

7/9/2006 3:14:01 PM
It all depends on who you run into
7/9/2006 4:09:54 PM
Well...when I went down there in 2002 for the Thursday night game, their fans were cussing and even pushing State fans as they entered the stadium. I was simply walking in, minding my own business, and groups of their fans were yelling F State and F U and such. I was shocked really, because I had heard that their fans were decent but I must admit, it was a nice quiet walk back to the car after we ripped them 38-6.Also, their fans have started crap everytime they've played here since at least 1999.
7/9/2006 5:02:31 PM
ive noticed state and clemson become bitter rivals since the late 90s (im a clemson fan whose been to every state/clemson game since about 95 missing only that thurs game where we got killed). Both fans and players seem to lose their heads in these games. Ive really only seen clemson fans (in general) act nasty to state and usc fans. It also doesn't help that about 3 of the games theyve played against each other have been the worst refereed acc games EVER.

BC fans invited me to eat some cod fish and drink non-sweet tea, but i declined.
7/9/2006 8:10:09 PM
some duke fans asked me if i wanted to meet them for lunch, but i told them it would have to wait until after the game
