I've heard several horror stories of people losing their deposits, being dragged off to court for supposed late payment of rent, etc. If you are renting from him, protect yourself by taking pictures and having lots of witnesses present when you move out.

yeah my friends rented from him.... he ended up taking them to court on a bunch of BS charges.... they ended up winning but still lost lots of money on court costs, lawyers, etc

we rented a big house from this douche off h-boro

it was an old house, we did some minor damages (had a dog, partied) maybe about $200-$300 worth. he took us to court claiming a bunch of bogus charges (i.e. we ruined a brand new wood floor throughout the house, the wood floor was about 20 yrs old)

in court, the person who did all of his "repairs" was his daughter, who printed up all of her "receipts" in a word document, we won (didn't have to pay him his claimed $4500+ in damages, but lost some of the deposit and had to pay for a lawyer). He's just an unnecessary hastle, poor landlord, and dirtball (we sat in court as he sued tenant after tenant all in one day, that should say enough.

I've had 4 landlords now, and Dan Joy (apts off Crest) is by far the best, we pay 900 for a 3 BR, and this guy fixes everything within days, replaces appliances, and is very accomodating. Other's have been Jeannette Jackson (filthy cunt), Jerry Hailey (dickbag), and Preiss Company (who actually wasn't that bad compared to those 2)

oh man, worst rental experience ever. Damaged a door, some plain old door, charged me 800 dollars for the door (claimed it was an antique). Also charged 500 plus dollars for hardwood floor damage in the room - floor looked pretty beat to begin with. Lets just say, not only did the deposit not come back, but I ended up owing money. That guy sucks

i had a buddy that lived with hailey's son and still screwed him over. he had him evicted and charged him with breaking and entering once when he tried to get back in to get some of his stuff (even though he didn't break-in). crazy ordeal. i'm still friends with his son, but i havent heard anything good about renting from him.

this is scary. we rent from him right now and are moving out in july. the house was in horrible condition when we moved in. the people didn't even clean the house before we moved in. I am so scared he will screw us. The carpets should have been replaced before we moved in but we told him we didn't care. I have a bad feeling he is going to say they are damaged b/c of us.

The worst land lord is Jim Cameron. That MF Charged us our entire security deposit (800) for crap that wasn't even there. Unbelievable.
