My external hard drive got wet in that flash flood several weeks ago. Ive been letting it dry out and tried plugging it just now and nothing happened. It doesn't appear to work. Any hope for all the information that I have on it?? I will pay someone to get it off of there if there is.thanks!

It's possible that only the power supply of the external drive is damaged. You should try removing the hard drive from the enclosure and connecting it to a computer.

^^thanks for the suggestions.^not sure how to do that. I can remove the external casing but Im not sure how to connect it to the computer after that.

your local Intrex computer store can retrieve data off a broke hdd...not sure about one that got wet.

I severely doubt, the inside of the hardrive is damaged unless you cracked the case upon and burnt it. Data recoverly will be possible with the proper hardware.
