If I am planning on doing inshore fishing for flounder, drum, blue, and trout, do you think a 6'6" Medium action rod would work ok?

Well the reason I ask is when i bought it from dicks, I didnt think they had there rods split up between salt and freshwater, but i think the rod i got was a freshwater rod... didnt not if there was a specific difference or not?
