At the risk of sounding like a pretentious academic snob, there are very few classes that are guaranteed As (which I'm assuming is probably what you meant.) Any class you put effort into and get an A in will be a GPA booster.

these so called "GPA boosting classes" are exactly that when viewed by admission boards of grad schools...,you'd be better off taking a difficult class and making a B rather than a bs class and making an A

but either way, SOC 440, ANS 400, and STS 322 were all upper evel classes that have great professors and are easy A's.

if you're a senior, like your profile says, your GPA won't be affected by a single 3-hour course

you dumb fucking bitch

For a 1 Hour A, I would look into taking one the CSC 1 hr classes on the basis that they're extremely easy and designed for people who have no programming knowledge.

You could also try MDS and ANS classes as well as some SOC. Just look at grade distribution charts and make your judgement based on that.

*Ernie, a 1-3 hour class will make enough of a difference to maintain or gain special honors designations.

Every "easy a" class I ever took I got like a C in and then every hard class I've gotten an A or B

GC 420 ... the greatest little hidden class at NCSU, I never took any GC classes before and was recommended this by a friend. It is almost impossible to get anything but an A,,, and it's 420 level so people don't know that it is really easy..

But super duper wooper FUN also.

Seriously, any 400-level class related to your major will boost your GPA. Once you get past the weed-out courses and start learning to apply stuff, classes get a lot easier. All you need to boost your GPA is a reasonable courseload. No extra courses required. That said, going for the Outdoor Leadership minor would be a great way to boost your GPA and your resume. There are plenty of PE courses on the list that are easy to do well in.
