Can you run subs and an amp of of a factory installed alpine 6 disc changer? If so can anyone help me install it? good recomendations on place to find cheap used euquiptment?thanks

by changer, you are implying that it's an in-dash changer, correct? but yes, you can run an amp off a factory head unit. you need to get a line-out converter. you just wire it up to the speaker outputs from the head unit and plug in the rca cables to it to give the amp signal.

^well you dont need an LOC if the amp has high level imputsbut to answer your question, yes that is quite doable

if you don't have high level inputs then get a decent line-out converter, not the cheap walmart brand, they typically have a lot of noise in them.

ok- well heres the deal...Want to hook up a small system for the girlfriend new car... I found a nice ass set of diamond 10's in a box but need to find a decent amp to run them for relatively cheap[Edited on July 2, 2006 at 9:44 PM. Reason : .]

i put an infinity basslink in my gf's car and shes happy w/ it. but she's not hip hop rap super star or anything. small, clean install and it sounds good

i have a buddy selling a memphis m3 12- It had a small hole from a screwdriver in the surround but it was filled- $50what do ya think?

^sub should be fine.... if you want somebody to do this I'm in the need for some cash... so say u get the stuff and I'll put it in for $20.... figuring your g/f drives something like a civic, accord, altima... etc...
