the deadline for this is days away and i need info. i've gotten packages from 2-3 different people and they don't really give you any straight answers. this is my main question though, if i consolidate will i forfeit my grace period?

if you consolidate, you begin payment the next month...so yes, you give up the grace period.

yes, you give upt he grace period, however, you can still get a hardship deference. Basically, When I graduate school, I will have to prepare for the bar and will not be employed till Septemberish. The Dean of the School will write a letter to give me 6 months to gain employment before I enter repayment.If you are still in school, you can re defer your loans until you graduate.[Edited on June 29, 2006 at 1:50 PM.
