Any immigrants (legal resident aliens) that live here in the US know if there is some kind of emergency (temporary) passport you can get to be able to fly back to the country of origin for a week?Does that make sense? Basically, I don't have a passport (and it's not that easy for me to get one since I have to get it from Germany) but my grandmother just passed away, does anyone know if there is some kind of help or service for emergencies such as this?I'm searching the web for info, just thought I'd ask if someone already knows the answer.[Edited on June 29, 2006 at 10:40 AM. Depends on the country of citizenship. Your best bet is to contact the German consulate directly.
