anyone know what the total rainfall amount for June is in Wake County? Is there a good site for this? I checked WRAL, weatherunderground and weather.com and am fully willing to admit I am retarded because I couldnt find the info.

Thanks

thanks for the reply.

I have to say, I am surprised at that number. I really thought it would be higher considering we got over 7in with alberto. And the rain this past friday was crazy heavy.

that number is rainfall at the airport which only received about 5.5 inches from alberto

the 7.6 inch number came from the national weather service on centennial campus

rainfall amounts are not dependent on how severe a tropical system is. It almost always depends on how slowly the storm is moving, if its moving at all (Floyd anyone?) This system dropped a lot of rain there b/c its movement was stalled by a high pressure system (I'm starting to go out of my league here)
