is tim henman not playing this year?!?!?!and:federerv. williams or henin-hardenne (williams is my smart pick, but i really like henin-hardenne's style)EDIT:henman's playing (and it looks like he may be playing federer in his second match. . . uh oh. . . england will go yet another year without a champion)[Edited on June 24, 2006 at 3:45 PM. 6/24/2006 3:57:49 PM
i hate nadal so much
6/24/2006 4:08:26 PM
doesn't henman still have a head to head winning record against federer?
6/24/2006 8:48:50 PM
Aggasi : realistic shot ? yes/no ?
6/24/2006 8:50:10 PM
agassi will make it to the 2nd or 3rd round i thinkfederer will win mens drawif clijsters is feeling close to 100 then she wins the womensif not then im going with mauresmo.
6/24/2006 10:18:55 PM
agassi definitely has a shot - do you not remember last year's u.s. open? he had a chance against Federer & he can beat him if lots of things go his way...i'm not sure agassi's record vs. nadal but i'm not worried about that match (nadal beating federer on clay isn't that big of a deal)
6/25/2006 3:56:45 PM
6/25/2006 10:33:02 PM
^ding ding ding
6/25/2006 10:37:33 PM
i don't know if you want to mess with nadal, i pretty sure he could kick your ass, and mac enroe wore those capri pants in his doubles matches and he is definately not a pussy
6/26/2006 12:55:02 AM
you can't be serious
6/26/2006 7:42:26 AM
yea nadal is a complete different player on grass.and what happened to henman to be unranked this year?
6/26/2006 8:03:59 AM
I thought he retired.
6/26/2006 8:04:21 AM
no way, tiger tim will be there - it's bloody wimbledon[Edited on June 26, 2006 at 8:07 AM. Reason : he'll only be around for 1 round though ]
6/26/2006 8:06:16 AM
My bad. I thought I heard he was giving up on trying to be a star player after last year. Anyways, wiki says he's getting old and has back problems.
6/26/2006 8:15:04 AM
he's gawt bad teef too
6/26/2006 8:16:52 AM
does henman ever win anything? i don't follow tennis that much, but it seems like he only pops up at wimbledon and is eliminated just as the announcer is saying "will THIS be the year an englishman wins the championship?"
6/26/2006 8:30:50 AM
he's always been pretty good on grass, and just ok on hard courts, but pretty below average on clay. He's won a few small tournaments i think, but never a grandslam
6/26/2006 8:40:35 AM
He's an overachiever on grass, which sucks for him because an entire coutnry annually drops completely unfair expectations on a guy who, based on talent alone, is a quarterfinalist at best.In short: England needs to fucking grow a new star tennis player.(I refuse to believe, even if presented with photographic evidence, that Johnny Mac ever touched capri pants he wasn't buying for his wife.)

6/26/2006 12:14:24 PM
radio wimbledon is fairly entertaining, even on rain delay.
6/26/2006 12:29:15 PM
^^^^yea my fault. in 03 or 04 he made it to the semifinals. His only year doing better than the 3rd round.
6/26/2006 12:50:57 PM
6/26/2006 2:24:42 PM
nadal is definitely not a pussy. have you seen his guns? he's one of the strongest looking players in the game today, besides that moose that beat agassi last yearnadal plays best on clay, so he'll get far in wimbledon, but won't win. his capri pants rule. that's just how he rolls
6/26/2006 2:33:56 PM
Either woods or mickelson ftw!
6/26/2006 2:39:49 PM
6/26/2006 3:10:13 PM
thank you, yes i'm aware that the surfaces are very different, i'm a tennis player myself, that's why I immediately followed my statement by saying he won't win
6/26/2006 3:35:30 PM
again, i agree that he'll do good in the tournament, but it has nothing to do with how great of a clay court player he is like you implied.
6/26/2006 3:38:54 PM
hmmm, lemme rephrase that since i didn't mean to imply that. nadal plays best on clay (not grass), so he may go far in wimbledon (but he won't win)how's that?
6/26/2006 4:04:56 PM
btttagassi down a setblake and federer already through to the second roundtim henman is in a tough opening round match going into the fifth set against the swede Soderlinghenin-hardinne and hingis through to the second round as well[Edited on June 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Reason : women's]
6/27/2006 10:59:23 AM
agassi comes back in force in set 2 winning 6-2, evening the match 1 set all against the Serb Pashanskihenman goes on to the second round to most likely lose to federer unless some sort of crazy miracle happens.[Edited on June 27, 2006 at 11:24 AM. Reason : adsf]
6/27/2006 11:15:13 AM
yea agassi looked rough that first set, but luckily endurance has always been one of his strengths
6/27/2006 11:36:06 AM
agassi wins. clijsters wins in two after a scary 7-5 first set to zvonereva.the american woman (who i hadn't heard of before) jamea jackson gets through to round 2 beating kirsten flipkens.the other big brit man, unseeded andy murray has started off very strong 4-0 in the first against the 31st seed Massou
6/27/2006 1:02:51 PM
tennis blows, bring on football
6/27/2006 1:38:32 PM
thanks for the input.
6/27/2006 1:39:03 PM
is there a bracket that gets updated after each match available online?
6/27/2006 1:45:59 PM
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/wimbledon06/bracketnot sure how quickly it's updated after matches, but as of right now it's pretty complete
6/27/2006 1:54:30 PM
wimbledon.org is VERY comprehensive. and about as live with the score updating as possible (it's ahead of the web streamed audio for instance).
6/27/2006 1:59:15 PM
