So i've been lifting and eating healthy 5 days a week for the past like 2 months...it definately doesnt feel good when i've been eating grilled chicken breast and brocelli, peppers, etc. all week and then all of sudden indulge in a meal consisting of 5 piece hot wings, celery, and lots of ranch dressing....i feel like
6/22/2006 11:15:30 PM
ok
6/22/2006 11:17:13 PM
So is this like a statement or a question?
6/22/2006 11:17:29 PM
The wings and celery is ok, I think the ranch fucked you up.
6/22/2006 11:24:06 PM
^ how so?
6/23/2006 1:51:38 AM
^you DO realize that wings are deep-fat fried, right???and hotwolf3: when i diet i do the same thing, but i do 6 days on and 1 day off - that way i net 5 days "forward progress" per week rather than 3. (check it out, that's 60% more progress per week for me). BUT even on my off days, i still take my vitamins, and eat a healthy breakfast. and i really don't eat any fried foods anyway - my weakness is junk food like cheetos candy bars, and beer[Edited on June 23, 2006 at 1:55 AM. this thread reminded me to take my vitamins, thanks hotwolf3

I rarely eat hamburgers now, so when I do actually get one it upsets my stomach.
6/23/2006 10:27:35 AM
yea, same here as well as fast food. Ive pretty much cut all of that now, BUT since i only get paid once a month mickey d's might be calling my name here shortly
6/23/2006 12:39:25 PM
once a month, damn where you work?and yea im the same way now, all i eat is grilled chicken and rice, pasta here and thereanything else gives me the B.G.s
6/23/2006 12:47:03 PM
^ i hope you eat vegetables, whole grains, and fruits as well.because grilled chicken and [white] rice only is not very healthy, and one could say, unhealthy.**********************************************************************i eat fast food once a month or once every 2 months (since forever), and everytime i do, it gives me terrible heartburn, heaviness, and just a BAD feeling in my body/gut. and everytime i do, i ask myself why i did that.
6/23/2006 12:51:57 PM
even if i eat fast food i'll get the chicken option, but i'll just get huge fries and a mcflurry option to go with it. whether "on" or "off" the diet i don't eat any processed/reconstituted meats or drink soda
6/23/2006 12:53:43 PM
^^ yea but instead of burgers and fries its chicken n ricethis thread reminds me i need to go grocery shoppin[Edited on June 23, 2006 at 12:54 PM. Reason : .]
6/23/2006 12:53:55 PM
so?sure, that's healthier than burgers and fries.but still unhealthy by itself.
6/23/2006 12:57:52 PM
I KNOW! im talkin bout the majority of the main course of the meal canned pineapple, salad, breen beans, tomoatoes, etc all are in my dietand i use brown riceand for my drink, bacardi superior and diet soda, if soda at all. haha no carbsif i had a juicer id juice my own fruit to make mixed drinks with, cause most of em of sugar loaded like hellno liquor would prolly be better, but alot less fun[Edited on June 23, 2006 at 1:03 PM. ^hey man, just make sure you take a good vitamin supplement. to be a serious bodybuilder it's hard to get in enough protein and complex carbs while making sure you also intake all of the vitamins and minerals you need.
6/23/2006 1:07:29 PM
I don't eat a lot of vegetables. I'll have a salad every now and then and I'll eat cooked vegetables if I go to a restaurant. But I take a pretty good multi-vitamin. I've been thinking about taking a "green" multi-vitamin though just because I know lack of vegetables it the main thing I'm missing.
6/23/2006 1:10:02 PM
what are you taking now?
6/23/2006 1:11:21 PM
Mega Man. I was thinking about taking the GNC Brand Green Ultra Mega (or something like that...can't remember the name).[Edited on June 23, 2006 at 1:14 PM. Reason : .]
6/23/2006 1:13:41 PM
is that the GNC one?[Edited on June 23, 2006 at 1:15 PM. Reason : MM rules!]
6/23/2006 1:14:13 PM
Yep.
6/23/2006 1:14:36 PM
I'm on salary here at my job and they insist on paying salary employees once a month..I really need to work on planning better.my diet consist of some kind of oat and almond cerel, grilled chicken breast(boneless), steak sirloin(lean), spinach, brocelli(no cheese), red, green, yellow peppers, beans(black, pinto, northern, lima), salads(no iceberg, romaine, spinach, the red stuff), bananas, grapes, peaches pretty much everyday, if rice brown rice, turkey breast(from the deli if the money is right), whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomato, swiss, whey protein, and much much much water.[Edited on June 23, 2006 at 1:25 PM. Reason : duh]
6/23/2006 1:14:43 PM
^^i know a really good brand, PM me if you want info on it^sounds pretty good to me... but like everyone else, take a supplement to fill in the gaps
6/23/2006 1:16:45 PM
what gaps. I think i'm getting enough of everything per day, do you not think so?..just curious
6/23/2006 1:25:39 PM
^It's impossible to get everything you need from regular food. I mean...you're probably doing a better job then most people...but it's pretty much impossible.
6/23/2006 1:28:05 PM
^^yeah, even without looking at your diet i'm 99% sure you're not. if you're wondering what you're missing, just as an easy example, go look at the back of a GNC (not that i endorse their products - i don't) mega man bottle and see if you're getting all of that. and mega man is even missing important things like vitamin K.

Campus meal plans are the bomb. I mainly stick to turkey sandwiches, load up on the vegitables of the day, and take a piece of fruit with me when I leave. People can get pizza, burgers, and fries anywhere, so why not make the most of it (all >$750 of it) and eat healthy? Fitness rocks!
6/24/2006 12:34:58 AM
these diets suck.

^You still haven't validated your argument. And you keep making false general statements which further portray your idiocy.

6/27/2006 8:18:02 AM
^Exactly.^^On a typical day, I eat:3-4 servings of fresh fruit/juices3-4 servings of fresh vegetables4-6 servings of carb sources(potatoes, cereals, rice, oatmeal, breads, pastas)3-4 servings of protein sources(beef, chicken, seafood, eggs, nuts, beans)1-2 serving of dairy(soy, milk, cheese)I am at or above everything I need at around 2500 calories. If you cannot vary and balance your intake, don't make generalized false claims for everyone.[Edited on June 27, 2006 at 11:30 AM. Reason : might need. Hahahahaha]
