it's a 98 Audi A6 and apparently the rear bumper is plasticany ideas if I can fix it by myself or do I need to take it to a body shop (and if so, any recommendations?)

Take it to a body shop. You're gonna need a new bumper cover...it is indeed plastic, as are damn near all of 'em these days, with the exception of a lot of trucks.Looks like you have a pretty hard crease in dat bitch. And it'll need to be painted too.

assuming it's just the bumper cover - find one at an online junkyard or a local one - probably have to pay to get it repainted unless you get lucky
