I'm a big fan of oligarchy. I used to like the idea of equality but then I realized most idiots don't need a decision, or freedom, or power -- what they need is an assignment.
6/20/2006 4:02:54 PM

6/20/2006 4:05:41 PM
"Liberal" and "conservative" should always be tacked onto the end of "fiscally" or "socially"Because i'm definitely socially liberal, but not so much fiscally.
6/20/2006 4:08:02 PM
no people who throw out sweeping generalizations are trollslike "all you liberals" and "all you consevatives"seems like youve done that a lot, or maybe im thinking of someone else.anyway here you go:socially liberal, fiscally moderateLabour's Cause is England's Cause[Edited on June 20, 2006 at 4:10 PM. ^^I understand what it means to be socially liberal. And I used to understand what it means to be fiscally conservative, but now I'm not so sure anymore.Does fiscally conservative mean in favor of more big business incentives, more government spending with less public services and less taxes?^They oughta get a rich man to vote like that...[Edited on June 20, 2006 at 4:35 PM. Reason : sss]
6/20/2006 4:34:21 PM
i look at it as spending for the necessities.conservative spending.which basically means i'm all around a liberal.
6/20/2006 4:47:24 PM
Fiscal Conservative - A government does not have the right to run up large debts and then throw the burden on the taxpayer; the taxpayers' right not to be taxed oppressively takes precedence even over paying back debts a government may have imprudently undertaken.

^haven't heard that term in a while, but that's me. right-leaning little-"L" libertarian with an affinity for sex, drugs, rock & roll, fast cars, and blowing shit up...minus the drugs, because the Marines don't really like that so much.[Edited on June 20, 2006 at 6:14 PM. Reason : asdf]

Progressive/McCain Democratconscience will not let me be the traditional conservative. i'll take inefficiency over corruption thxi would say "liberal", but they're so into baby killing, celebrating gay buttsecks, and accidentally fooling low IQ America into thinking that communism actually exists, that they forget to make any real progress
6/20/2006 6:16:45 PM
Mostly centrist, leaning towards libertarian.Although ideally I'm libertarian.

6/20/2006 10:31:39 PM
Socially very conservative, fiscally conservative.
6/20/2006 11:40:53 PM
6/20/2006 11:46:05 PM
I'm really not even sure anymore. For the most part, obviously, conservative, but by now there are enough individual areas in which I'm pathologically socialistic that I don't think conservatives will claim me.My Public Policy professor last semester was pretty rabidly liberal, but he was nice enough about it, I guess. But when I handed in my final paper on the prospects for a Single-Payer Health Plan, he put a note at the end saying that he very nearly decided to dock my grade because "it seems like you're just telling me what I want to hear." I was horrified.

Where's the old thread for those charts? I'd rather just copy and paste that shit than take the test again.

Socially Moderate (actually, I take many left and some right positions here, not really consistent at all , but it averages out I think).Economically Left, but not necessarily Socialist.http://politicalcompass.jpagel.net/printablegraph.php?ec=-3.88&soc=-2.10 if that helps.
6/21/2006 12:18:35 AM
Moderate Libertarian, that is accepting that any success in getting a libertarian actually elected requires moderation of the more extreme parts of the party platform.I support Limited Government, Individual Liberty, Free Market Capitalism and Peace.[Edited on June 21, 2006 at 12:40 AM. Reason : .]

classical socialist in the ideal sense (people controll their destiny w/o existance of the state), but since that's not realistic, i vote socially liberal and fiscally moderate, typically. id be moderate here in europe, but liberal in america.
