So my car came with a Ford stock 2001 AM/FM radio unit only. So I ordered a 1999 Ford stock AM/FM radio/CD Player from Ebay and installed it. The radio part works great, sounds better and functions better than the one that came in it. The CD player will play regular store bought CD's, but seems to not play burnt ones. I tried two different brands of blank media, one brand played for about 10 seconds before spitting the CD out, the other brand won't play at all.Any ideas?

Get a newer CD player.

yeah, I got the one I got so it would fit and look normal. I had a 1985 Buick that I put an aftermarket CD player in years ago and it just didn't fit, looked riced out as Hell.

try using CD-Rs instead of CD-RWs (if that's the case)

no, they are all cd-r. I've now tried 4 different brands, I think it must just not be made to accept cd-rs.

yeah, I've been using SonicRecordNow and that is the last step in the process...

Try burning it slower. It has worked for me before.

^Try that first, but it may be that the player simply isn't compatible. The way CD-R's are written is much different than a regular CD, and though it closely mimics the light response required to read a normal CD, it's different enough that some players can't handle it.
