Hmmsomehow invent double sided duct tape.or just you regular double sided tape and sprinkle cayenne pepper on it and see if they still bite it.or spray them with a spritzer bottle of water and condition them that its bad.

just give them enough other toys to play with, and whenever you catch them chewing cords just distract them with another toyeventually they'll get it that cords are not chew toys, or they'll get electrocuted. So far my two cats are still alive, and I think they've quit chewing cords

spray something on the cords that they won't like, but won't kill them. A cleaning agent? Or get some of that spray that is supposed to keep them off furniture and see if that helps with the chewing thing. There are cord protector things, maybe at an electronics or office store. Especially if the cord is in sight, there are those flat strips that you could cover them with in those areas.

My cat loves cords. She will chew on anything plastic...cords, bags, the vacuum hose...I haven't been able to successfully stop her yet. Usually she only does a bit of damage b/c she gets bored with it, or I stop her, but I tried a cord cover, and she just chewed on that, and she doesn't seem to mind being sprayed with water. Maybe spraying the cords with something would be the best? I haven't tried that, but I don't know what I would spray it with that's not dangerous. Suggestions?

Go to PetSmart's website and look for the furniture sprays that keep them off of that. They should be safe.

awesome. I didn't think of that. She's retarded, she probably will like the taste. We shall see.

get a cattle prod and poke the cat with it whenever it chews the cords.

The cat my parents had while I was growing up chewed through every cord in the house literally...my dad was on oxygen before he died and he even chewed through that. So, we duct taped all the cords in our house and I swear the cat never chewed through them again...IDK why, but he hated the duct tape.

Put some hot sauce on the cords.

You could also try "Bitter Apple" spray. It's used often times to stop pets from chewing/licking spots on their bodies (like after suregery and stuff). It's safe for animals, and they HATE the taste. The only thing is, I don't know if it would leave like a sticky residue on the cords (I know hot sauce would).
