new album - "Ganging Up On The Sun"June 20, 2006sounds about like their last cd. if you liked it, you definitely should pick this one up. my favs are the more upbeat ones: manifest destiny, c'mon, the captain, hang on

Well most of their CDs are really similar. I may or may not check this out- I've become ambivalent about Guster.
6/15/2006 7:17:57 PM
i've never heard them, but I guess I'll be seeing them on July 18th when they open up for Ray LaMontagne
6/16/2006 10:20:19 AM
^ ray is opening for guster.
6/16/2006 11:03:35 AM
I think it's more of a "co-headlining" show, but Ray is playing first....and the CD is pretty good
6/16/2006 11:50:37 AM
regardless of who is opening, i won't be going in order to see Guster. that's for sure
6/16/2006 12:03:34 PM
i preordered my copy a couple months ago when they had some offer of the first 500 preorders get their copy autographed. it was only 10 bucks also, but unfortunately i'll have to wait a couple extra days cause we havent invented a teleporter yet.
6/16/2006 3:15:33 PM
why the hell is the July 18th show $35????
6/26/2006 10:08:15 PM
it's actually $44 with all the fees. im gonna wait to buy my tickets when i get there, and hope i can get them cheaper then. also, guster is gonna be on jay leno tomorrow night, the 27th.
6/26/2006 10:17:04 PM
i think i paid like 8 bucks to see Guster in Wait Chapel in highschool
6/26/2006 10:22:12 PM

got free tickets for a guster show on a harbor cruise in the san diego bay this thursday, should be pretty sweethaven't heard the new album yet though, except for one song on the radio ('one man wrecking machine,' apparently, just checked it out on itunes)
6/26/2006 11:31:46 PM
yeah, i have no idea why it's so expensive. they just had a free show at duke in april too, they were great (minus all the annoying wasted duke students). i think most of the shows at regency park are overpriced though, so i don't think it's the band's fault it's so expensive.
6/27/2006 9:05:48 AM
^ of course its the bands fault for being expensive. otherwise every concert would cost the same amount.
6/27/2006 9:50:36 AM
out of the ~15 shows this season at Regency Park, the Guster/Ray LaMontagne show is the 2nd most expensiveBela Fleck is $40 + fees
6/27/2006 1:26:15 PM
all im saying is guster usually doesnt have expensive shows...i dont know anything about ray though[Edited on June 27, 2006 at 2:19 PM. Reason : fas]
6/27/2006 2:19:29 PM
it's one of the most expensive shows at HoB toolooks like I'll have to stick to listening to Ray via CDs
6/27/2006 2:27:23 PM
fruit bats? YUM!
7/10/2006 8:20:09 PM
Is it just me, or does Adam have very little vocal input on this last album?[Edited on July 10, 2006 at 9:05 PM. Reason : last]
7/10/2006 9:05:16 PM
yea just one song for him as the lead singer...i prefer ryan, but i like the usual variety. i was a little disappointed in that.
7/10/2006 9:06:53 PM
i agree. i love when they sing together, so i was dissappointed there was only one song with adam singing. i still like the cd overall, but it isn't their best
7/10/2006 9:17:25 PM
anyone have extra tickets they need to get rid of. i was planning on getting them at the show but wanted to check if anyone needed to get rid of any on here first.
7/17/2006 3:29:42 PM

7/18/2006 4:40:58 PM

7/18/2006 11:55:00 PM

7/19/2006 9:38:00 AM
i caught the first 2 songs of Guster's set and bouncednot nearly as bad in person as they are on CDbut bad nonetheless
7/19/2006 10:58:45 AM
i left after 2 as well
7/19/2006 12:40:42 PM
i really enjoyed guster's set... good booty shaking bongo beats.however, we got there at 6:40-ish and somehow COMPLETELY missed the fruit bats. how did this happen?!?! who the hell starts a weekday show that early?
7/19/2006 7:19:25 PM
well im glad there are some other guster fans on here! i thought the setlist was awesome. i had never heard that version of airport song and i really liked it. i got to stand right in front of joe too, who was amazing. overall, they were great!
