bttt. If anyone has wine glasses to donate, it is a non-profit so you'd get that tax write-off or whatever it's called (hey I'm a scientist not a businesswoman).

I just got a progress update via email and it sounds like it's going to be really cool. It's too bad it's scheduled for the same day I'm attending a wedding. They've been working really hard on this, so if anyone wants to support some animal rescues, buy a ticket!

i have some champagne glasses. do you think that will work? I hope to go, if I can find someone to go with me. Too bad I don't drink wine! do you know if any of the dogs will be there? I really want to meet Kramer!

Yeah champaigne glasses will work fine. I don't think any of the rescue people actually drink wine very often, so it's not like they would be anal about the glasses I just bought 8 at WalMart for less than $6, cheaper than glasses were at Salvation Army! No, unfortunately they won't have any dogs there. I've been hoping they'd do another adoption event before then, but they're too busy with the event, and they want to take a break since they were working so hard all year. So after the 4th of July we should be having some stuff going on. I'll definitely keep you updated on the events. They will have snacks and things too, and it's worth a taste here and there - maybe there will be a type of wine you'll be surprised with. I just dropped off two bottles, one pinot noir and one called Hatteras Red, that I would like to try myself b/c it suggested having it with dark chocolate, which I love. Here's a list of items they still need (Black and Silver theme!):Table Cloths (Cloth ones will be best and we'll need at least 3-4) Christmas Tree Lights (Clear) Floor Lamps Small Table Lamps (Like you would use for a desk...we'll use them to spotlight the pawprints!) Candy Dishes (For the wine crackers) Wine Glasses Napkins and Plates Balloons Power Strips and Extension Chords Music (We'll set-up a CD Player and play CDs ... unless anyone knows someone who would be willing to perform LIVE at the event) WINE!! (We have 35 bottles donated. We would like to get at least one case more.)

what kind of attire should be expected?

Ooh good question. I'll email and find out.

They said probably business casual. Nothing real fancy, but not any ratty tshirts and jeans.
