Damn, 750 for a one bedroom? Gorman Crossings (granted, not exactly fancy, but decent enough) has two bedrooms for around 550. I mean, if you were going to have to pay that much for a one bedroom anyways...

it depends on if you actually want space or not.since i can't find roommates i have been looking at one bedrooms.... the cheapest that I have found are all near lake lynn (about a 15-20 min drive from campus) in Raleigh. you can find them from about $430(falls lake)- $620(Ragada) and then a lot of prices in betweent.. I have found at least three in the $500 range.but if there is anything closer to campus or even just a better price I'd love to know as well

Misty Woods in Cary on Walnut St is nice, I think they are ~500 for a 1 bedroom. My roommate drives to downtown everyday and if you take Buck Jones to Western BLVD you can be to NCSU in about 5-10 mins. I lived at Melrose Apts years ago and it took longer than that. Its not really a college atmosphere at all, which might be what you are looking for.
