i don't think 221 was that bad. 223 is much worse. 221 hardly had any reactions to memorize, mostly stereochemistry and naming and stuff.

CH 221 is the first of two semesters of Organic Chemistry. After completing this course, you then move on to CH 223, the second semester of Organic Chemistry. One whole year's worth. Good courses; best chemistry courses I've taken at State thus far. CH 220 is only one semester long, but you cover some material from CH 221 and CH 223. Kind of like a glimpse of what you would get if you took the full year's worth. Not really one year crammed into one semester; you probably don't spend as long on some CH 221/223 material and don't cover some/most stuff you'd get in the year's courses. I think CH 220 is more like an introduction to the 1 year courses; you'd take this course before CH 221/223 if you don't want to jump into the full swing of the world of Organic Chemistry. Kind of like Pre-Calculus, or in this case, Pre-Organic Chemistry. Keep in mind that I have never taken CH 220, but I'd wager CH 220 is easier. Anyone who has actually taken 220 can pipe up and give a more accurate course description.

i'd look at the grade distributions for your choices and compare. Also, look at school tool on here and see what is said.

221 and 223 are both easy- I'm not sure about 220.
