omg more like Rudy j00liani! a vote for Rudy G is a vote for Israel!!1[/tinfoil hat TSB poster]On a serious note -- I'll vote for Hillary before I vote for Rudy. oh and props to Biggie for initiating a 2-page thread in his first 25 posts.[Edited on June 7, 2006 at 12:10 PM. Reason : props]

TGD that's pretty funny.I'd have to say a vote for Rudy G is a vote for tax cuts and conservative fiscal policy though.TGD I appreciate the props. Finally, someone not just on the forum to flame people. You've gained my respect for whatever it's worth.[Edited on June 7, 2006 at 12:12 PM. Reason : appreciation]

Rudy rode on waves the whole time he was in NYC. Koch started most of the good spending programs, real estate and overall prices in NYC were driving out criminals already (unless you believe that arresting turn-style jumpers magically made the murder rate drop, as Kelly claims), and of course he did exactly what he was supposed to do on September 12th -- he stood there and looked somber and made everybody feel okay. What did he get done, really? Talked a lot about graffitti and turn-styles and started a god-knows-how-many-billion dollar memorial where they can't give away leases now.p.s. Blog spammers are probably almost as bad a Nigerian princes.

Well two things, if you believe Rudy had nothing to do with spending then ask anyone that worked under him when he setup those government programs. Rudy inherited a huge debt coming into office and turned it around. Plain and simple. When he was there shit turned around.2nd, if you are right (mind you I know you're wrong on the spending programs) then first, you're very good at not giving the man at the top any credit whatsoever and Rudy G is the luckiest man in the world to have all that good going his way. Therefore, I'd vote for him on pure luck and odds.p.s. I don't see a problem with giving people a link to a political blog which has posts relevant to the topic at hand. If you're a conservative and want a good blog to read then check it out http://rightmindedelephant.blogspot.comif you call me a spammer then I mind as well spam.

Your poor grammar and spelling will ensure that people take you seriously.

I've never understood who has the time to update their blogs with such long articles. All blogs to me look pretty much the same, which is why I don't waste time reading them.

Do you pronounce it "ree-no" or "rhino?" I'd always assumed "ree-no" but the other day I heard some guy say "rhino" and I like my way better.

Rudy Giuliani definitely couldn't pull the South. Not with a name like fucking Giuliani.Yeah, I said it.

I think the political landscape is different now. The parties are definitely focused on different things also. And for the record. Bill Clinton never won the south. He came close in 1996 but Dole still took home the majority of the south. The last Democrat to win the south was Jimmy Carter.Keep in mind that Democrat stated "that Jesus Christ influenced his decisions everyday of his life."I doubt the Democrats would nominate a person that would say that today.

I doubt the Democrats, with all their diversity, could rally enough people behind a common candidate who had a shot at winning in '08...they have so many different backgrounds in their party that pretty much the only thing they can all rally around is "Bush is bad"...well Bush can't run in '08, so lets see what they come up with

its amazing how often and how passionately the right mistakes facism for Christ's teachings
6/7/2006 6:34:05 PM
Wow bridget!PLEASE READ! I said I doubt the Democrats would nominate a person that would say that today. Keywords there are "say that". The Democrats would see that as sponsoring a religion and alienating Americans that are not Christians. I'm not saying the Democratic party is agaisn't Jesus Christ's teachings just agaisn't a candidate being outspoken about their religion and how it would effect their decision making even in office. That Democrat also claimed "Jesus Christ as his savior." I think he was being influenced by more than just his teachings.P.s.- not to get into a religious debate but accepting sounds like you mean Jesus Christ saw everything and everybody as correct or right in their own way. I think he was accepting meaning that he saw all humans as sinners and that only through him could they get to God.
