Surprisingly, there hasn't been an influx of misinformation yet (a first for a TWW financial/credit thread?), but in the meantime, here's some nice, quick articles if you have question about your score or how they workhttp://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/2006/06/05/anatomy-of-a-credit-score/http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Banking/Yourcreditrating/P136689.asp

4/11/2007 11:51:08 PM
850, but I only have one or two credit references, so that hurts me for now.
4/11/2007 11:57:53 PM
There was something weird on my report. Two chase credit cards one for $2500 and one for $500 are opened on my file. There is no balance on either one opened on 03/2006 the other 11/2003. What should I do about this and is this a big problembtw how do you get the actual score, i did not see an option to see a score unless you paid $5 to have them ship it to you.

4/12/2007 12:49:34 AM
^That's not your actual fico score. The only way to get your fico is to buy it from myfico.com
4/12/2007 12:51:55 AM
^^^^That's actually really really good, isn't it?And my score sucks because a) I changed banks and closed some credit cards I'd had since the dawn of time and b) balances were too high on my current cards.BUT time goes on so my credit should naturally inflate if I continue to behave, and I just upped the limit on my ccs so they went from 80% full to < 30% full
4/12/2007 1:01:52 AM
"and it happens to be 720"
4/12/2007 1:06:12 AM
not sure... but the limits on credit cards that i get from best buy, saks, and etc are pretty darn good!
