GOOOOOOOO MAVS...
6/4/2006 8:56:00 PM
i'm suprised by the amount of people picking the mavericks over the heat
6/4/2006 11:55:51 PM
fuck you
6/5/2006 12:02:16 AM
I'm not really picking the Mavs over the Heat but I'd like to see the Mavs win it.
6/5/2006 12:03:29 AM
this should be a fun seriesNO ONE we have matches up with shaq, but no one they have matches up with Dirk. I wouldnt be surprised if I saw Wade on Dirk at least for a gameTerry vs Williams = Id take Terry, but theyd prolly put Wade on him for the most partStackhouse/Harris (pending on who avery starts) vs Wade = id have to take wadeHoward vs Posey/Walker = If the walker from last series shows up, this should be good matchup at least on offense, he's been producing on offense...but howard has been fucking excellent all seasonDirk vs Haslem = Dirk hands down, Haslem cant run the perimeter with himDiop/Dampier vs Shaq = ...........That being said, my heart says Mavs in 6...but i wouldnt be surprised if it went 7...This will prolly go down to who outlast who
6/5/2006 12:13:01 AM
Dirk will cause shaq to foul out a lot.
6/5/2006 12:17:12 AM
The Mavs definitely have what it takes to win. The heat are also really good. I personally think the difference in this series will be J. Williams for the heat and Harris for the Mavs. We know shaq and wade will bring it along with dirk and terry. Just let harris penetrate shaq's ass. I see it hard for either team winning on the other's court. I'm counting on howard to completely take walker out of the series not that he is worth mentioning.[Edited on June 5, 2006 at 12:24 AM. i bet pat riley has a few tricks up his sleeve(no homo)
6/5/2006 12:41:12 AM
I heard Kobe was the first to call ben wallace after their final game.
6/5/2006 12:43:56 AM
he'd fit in good with the lakerscant nobody else on their team score cept kobe
6/5/2006 8:18:35 AM
I've got the Heat in this one. Which means they'll probably lose in 4 games.
6/5/2006 8:22:52 AM
Heat in a sweep. The NBA wants Shaq to win one last title before he retires. More that than wanting to stick it to Kobe. While the league preaches "team" ball, it was very clear that the NBA head honchos in NY were cringing at the thought of a repeat of last year's Finals, so they were happy that SA and Detroit ran out of gas. Also, David Stern hates Mark Cuban because Cuban is an unconventional owner. Dallas may be a top 10 market, but Stern wants to make Cuban his personal biatch. Stern does not like having his authority questioned. Why do you think he fined Cuban an extra $100,000 for simply proposing a better way of playoff refereeing on his blog?
6/7/2006 3:16:16 AM
Are ^ you saying the refs will alter the game?
6/7/2006 9:14:35 AM
6/7/2006 9:32:04 AM
I'm pulling for Mark Cuban. But if the Heat win, I'm pulling for Shaq to say something to the effect of "Hey Kobe, how's having your own team working out for you?"
6/7/2006 11:34:00 AM
then Kobe could say "Hey you've got Dwayne Wade, I have fucking Kwame Brown over here for chrissake"
6/7/2006 11:39:12 AM
And then Shaq could be all "you got what you wanted, kid, a team where no one could possibly upstage you. Enjoy all the championships it won you. Huh? What's that? The trophy is whispering to me. It says you didn't win it without me, but I won it without you. Funny thing about that."
6/7/2006 11:43:42 AM
what is the nba?
6/7/2006 11:56:02 AM
i find it completely illogical for anyone to predict the heat to win this seriesthat is all
6/7/2006 12:14:07 PM

Just want to throw a shout out to J_Hova. Stuck with the Mavs for all these years and now they're in the finals. Lets go Mavs!
6/7/2006 11:06:44 PM
look at what the mavs did to the heat all season...
6/7/2006 11:12:43 PM
6/7/2006 11:20:15 PM
I never said Shaq doesn't have a heckuva team with him. I was mostly just saying Kobe is a bitch. A real bitch. A bitch's bitch, if you will.
6/7/2006 11:21:41 PM
It's very simple. Most of the world wanted to see Kobe win on his own or perhaps without Shaq. Let's not forget that the last couple of seasons with the Lakers, Shaq was a worthless penguin. It's funny, a lot of people out there act like Shaq is everything or Jordan was everything. I think that many of us can name at least 6-7 players from the heat right now and at least 10 players that were very very good at what they did for Chicago back in the days. Also, these guys were already good, so Jordan didn't invent them.Chicago: Horace Grant, Paxon (amazing 3 point shooting), Rodman, Kerr (one of the best shooters of all time), Pippen (developed with Jordan, but was the shit when he guarded Magic Johnson in the finals mostly leading to their wins in that first finals along with Paxons game winning shots), Longely, Kukoc, Ron Harper, BJ Armstrong...Heat: Wade, Walker, Haslem, J.Williams, Mourning, Posey, Payton, Anderson...
6/8/2006 12:29:54 AM
^^^You're an idiot. 99% of the major NBA analysts picked the Pistons in that series. Please STFU.
6/8/2006 1:35:34 AM
6/8/2006 8:01:27 AM
^ you obviously forgot how many important 3's Paxon made in the first several championships and how many Kerr made in the next couple championships. They were flat out great shooters which were reliable at any time. Pippen was the shit on that team, many believe he was just as important to Chicago as Jordan was.
6/8/2006 8:58:56 AM
alsoJ williams fucking suckswhen does he not turn it over or miss?aside from the last game of course
6/8/2006 9:46:24 AM
if it wasn't for his ass against Detroit in game 6, the Heat would have been sheat
6/8/2006 11:38:37 AM
you guys forget that shaq went to the finals before he joined up with kobe and only meeting up with one of the top 5 all time centers kept him from winning
6/8/2006 11:45:01 AM
and all the sudden you forget about Hardaway, Nick Anderson, Horace Grant and several others
6/8/2006 1:42:47 PM
[1995 NBA references]a little of topic but a great re-cap of Shaq's first time in the finals:
