Ok Im looking to buy a 360 sometime soon but Ive heard that MS will be releasing an HD DVD drive for it. Anyone know if it will be incorporated into the system at a later date or if it will be purely external?

they were denying it for sometime, but now pics are out of an external drive. my guess is that it wont be incorporated to keep prices down.

I'm guessing that they will eventually incorporate the HD-DVD drive into the 360. That was their plan initally when they announced the system spec. As far as I know, they only excluded the drive because they weren't ready/cheap enough.

theres pics on ign of it, its external and im pretty sure they said they werent going to incorporate it into the system at a later date because it would be too expensive or something

they will on the next revision of the system, aka next fall/winter 07.

i guess they could do that in leiu of the regular system price drop (or just drop it less than normal)
