any of you by chance have one? not a regular obdii scanner, but an SRS specific one for airbag lights, etc
5/30/2006 2:54:02 PM
we can do it at RCH
5/30/2006 5:11:05 PM
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS??
5/30/2006 6:14:36 PM
i got ABS light on m3 i need to clear as well...but on obd1 tho
5/30/2006 6:16:20 PM
i *think* its the same. this has nothing to do w/ obdI/II. the SRS system is seperate. but then again i wouldnt be surprised if bmw made things extra complicated and had different SRSes too
5/30/2006 7:45:31 PM
let me know if you dig something out or get the scanner

5/30/2006 10:08:00 PM
the peake tool works on anything pre-2001 or 2002 i thinkI actually have one for sale - the R5/FCXII - both code reader and service/oil reset - $100 for pickup (in charlotte), $110 mailed
5/30/2006 10:12:42 PM
^cool, but that isnt the SRS tool. thats the regular odbii tool.^^ '95 had a 3.0l and the '96+ (coinciding w/ obdii) has a 3.2l. the 3.2l is a little torquier and the 3.0 is a little racier. same hpoptmusprimer, where do you work and what hours? thanks
5/31/2006 9:18:51 AM
i need to have mine reset too....maybe we can all get this handled at the same time
5/31/2006 9:20:45 AM
doesnt anyone on nceuro has it?
5/31/2006 12:55:26 PM
^ive been asking for a few weeks w/ no luck so i guess not. called BFI, they dont have one either.i should buy one and make a killing renting it out
5/31/2006 1:03:30 PM
well we have now three of us needing it. we can split the cost and the person who will keep it, can pay a bit more.
5/31/2006 1:09:20 PM
its $130. or i guess $120 on ebay ill pay $50 and shipping and keep it if you guys split the rest. or if you can find it cheaper, all the better for you guys
5/31/2006 1:54:19 PM
i think whoever wants to keep it should pay a bit more than $54, as oppose to $30 for one time use.
5/31/2006 2:37:42 PM
well itd be at least a two time use if you used it to scan codes to find the problem. then fixed it and then came back later to reset the light.
5/31/2006 3:36:14 PM
haha trying to make a business out of SRS tool. i'll ask around a bit and see what we can find. if nothing, lets buy the damn tool and split it 60/20/20%.deal?

6/2/2006 12:18:36 PM

6/2/2006 1:49:46 PM
Im in the learning stage about our tuning ability with the equipment we have, will get back to you on that. Cost is $250 I believe.

6/28/2006 7:10:08 PM
seat belt latch is a common cause of this problem...http://understeer.com/seatbeltlatch.shtml
6/28/2006 7:58:53 PM
as long as people keep using seat belts, i guess it will remain a common problem.
6/28/2006 8:08:06 PM
how much $$
6/29/2006 11:01:25 AM
Computer diagnostics, 1hr ($70) we will hook up and scan every system on the vehicle for you.
6/29/2006 12:32:00 PM
lets all thorw in on the tool. TWW Garage can own it. 3 people need it? the tool is $130 new so thats already cheaper than optmusprimer or maybe ill buy one and loan it out for $40. hrmm
6/29/2006 1:36:56 PM
doesnt matter to me, my tool is $10k+. owning a BMW is not about doing things the cheap way.
6/29/2006 7:53:46 PM
6/29/2006 7:58:02 PM
nice, but mine does everyhing yours does. and i can do it on BMW, Benz, Rover, Jag, etc etc etc.
6/29/2006 8:42:37 PM
6/29/2006 9:13:14 PM
my what?
6/29/2006 10:10:04 PM
your bmw
6/29/2006 10:23:54 PM
what the fuck has that got to do with it?
6/29/2006 10:39:08 PM
well you mentioned about not doing things cheap on a bmw. mr. low profile white wall tires on oem copy wheels. all of a sudded you're against saving money? didn't you just buy an old 5 or 7 series, something the price has recently fallen on? lots of car for little money? the tool is $130, you charge $70 for a single use. any one who knows a tiny little bit about what they're doing & makes more than $3 an hour is going to buy the srs tool first.[Edited on June 30, 2006 at 2:06 AM. 7/1/2006 2:10:51 PM
Can you program 5 cars at the same time? I'll stop there.
7/2/2006 1:10:19 PM
Yeah, thats a good place to stop. haha
7/2/2006 1:36:26 PM
i had sex with your mom
7/2/2006 2:28:11 PM
well i had sex with 5 moms at the same time
7/2/2006 3:25:29 PM
ok i've searched every local bmw, car club, etc, etc forum around and no one has one.So i'll buy one. You guys can use it as much as you need (at my house ) for life for $25. does that sound fair? You'll need to use it at least twice. once to find out whats wrong and then again to reset.
