Anyone see a comparison b/t Mike D'Antoni and Mike Martz. Offensive minded coaches who know how to score a lot of points, but don't know how to manage a game and let their egos get in the way of winning?
I know the Suns are still alive, but they have been damn lucky and I just see a lot of similarities b/t these 2 coaches.

i havent noticed d'antoni having a problem of his ego getting in the way of winning...i do agree that they are both similar in that they are offensive-minded coaches.

I don't think he's as bad as Martz, but it seems like he wants to run no matter what. Game 2, the Suns come back and cut it to 3, and then they take a really bad and really quick 3. Usually its run no matter what.
Luckily tonight I have the Over, and there not running like usual. Very irritating.

I see what you did but I don't know about all that.

Martz rarely makes the playoffs. D'Antoni regularly does.

Martz hasn't won a SB as a head coach, so D'Antoni can put that to rest.

Martz has been to a Super Bowl. D'Antoni hasn't been to an NBA Finals.
