Anyways, rank them however you'd like.Aliens vs. Predator (I include this since the idea came from comics first)Batman 1&2 (Burton)Batman BeginsBlade TrilogyConan the [insert adjective] seriesThe CrowDick TracyFantastic FourFrom HellHellboyHulkThe MaskMen in Black seriesPunisherThe RocketeerSin CitySpawnSpider-man seriesSuperman seriesTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seriesV for VendettaX-Men seriesShitty movies that I'm betting no one lists in their top 5:(BarbWire, Batman 3&4 (Bat Nipples), Captain America, Catwoman, Constantine, Daredevil, Elektra, Judge Dredd, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Steel, Supergirl, Tank Girl, Vampirella)[Edited on May 28, 2006 at 10:20 AM. league of extrraordinary gentlemen wasnt that bad and neither was judge dredd when i was little.i liked LXG better than fantastic 4, mib2, probably xmen1, or any of the later crows.
5/28/2006 10:34:18 AM
Dick Tracy was pretty badfollowed close behind by a rocketeer
5/28/2006 10:39:10 AM

5/28/2006 11:09:20 AM
Oh, and by the way, Constantine would absolutely be in my top five.
5/28/2006 11:09:44 AM
Top:Spiderman 2X-men 2BatmanBatman BeginsSpidermanHellboyFrom HellDaredevil (What exactly was so bad about Daredevil? its probably the comic book movie that most directly and faithfully did a story straight out of the comic book)Bottom:Batman and RobinHulkFantastic FourJudge DreddSpawn

Van Helsing sucked
5/28/2006 11:43:09 AM
My fav is probably Hellboy. Why? Because they somehow got the mood and spirit of the books just right. Sure they had to make a couple changes, but who cares? They hit the dry/dark humor spot on. They carried gloomy noir-ish setting over to the film brilliantly. Ron Perlman was without a doubt the best 'known' actor for the part. Plus I think it's great that they didn't try to rely solely on CGI.

5/28/2006 11:52:42 AM
Haha do you mean the recent Punisher?Or the old one with Dolph?
5/28/2006 11:54:47 AM
well, to be honest, there are few movies that i come out hating, even on this list. ill watch most anything once.
5/28/2006 11:55:44 AM
I didn't even bother distinguishing between the old and new punisher. Who the hell would list the old one as a good movie?
5/28/2006 11:57:03 AM
the comic book movie that most directly did an adaptation of the comic itself was handsdown sin city. that movie was literally taken directly from the comic. The dialogue was the same, even the shots were the same as the comic frames. I also rank this as one of my favorites
5/28/2006 1:00:22 PM
Right on. They really nailed Sin City, and I can't wait for the sequels.
5/28/2006 1:03:55 PM
Agreed, Sin City is the best that has been made, not only for being a good adaptation but just for being a good movie.
5/28/2006 1:12:16 PM
Sin City had everything anyone could want in a movie. I'm surprised no one mentioned the sequels to Dark Man. Liam Neeson was only in the first one, and it's easy to see why he didn't come back.
5/28/2006 1:15:45 PM
I can't believe I forgot Sin City
5/28/2006 2:21:43 PM
X-men 2 and Spiderman 2 are my favoritesVan Helsing is one of the worst movies ever made
5/28/2006 2:24:21 PM
Good: Spiderman, Batman Begins, Superman 1&2, The CrowDecent: Batman 1&2, Men in Black, Sin CityMarginal: the balance

Great: X-Men 2, Spider-Man 2Good: Batman Begins, Hellboy, Sin City, Spider-Man 1, X-Men 1 & 3Quite Flawed But Worthwhile: Daredevil (Yes, I thought it was better than Punisher.)Mediocre: PunisherBad Yet Still Awesome: Tank GirlBad: Hulk
5/28/2006 4:30:05 PM
GV has got a decent list, though id pust sin city in the top portion
5/28/2006 4:35:45 PM
Yeah, I could certainly see Sin City on top. If I had read the comics, or if that horrible samurai chick hadn't been in the movie, I probably would have called it "Great."
5/28/2006 4:41:38 PM
My faves in order:HellboyBatman BeginsSin CityX-Men 1 & 2Spider-man 1 & 2From HellBatmanThe CrowBlade 1I like others, like F4 and even LXG... I just don't see the point in listing all of them.
5/28/2006 4:44:30 PM
I still haven't seen the Fantastic Four movie, mainly because I think seeing what they did to Victor will be physically painful for me.That exchange between Sue and Doom in the trailer is even worse than Storm's line to Toad. [Edited on May 28, 2006 at 4:48 PM. Reason : D]
5/28/2006 4:47:20 PM
thats my thing with F4, they fucking ruined Dr DoomTorch and Thing were spot on, invisible woman and mr fan worked well enough but Dr. Doom was done terribly

David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. The greatest, ever.
5/29/2006 12:06:56 AM
I actually thought the new Punisher movie was very entertaining, much better than most critics gave it credit for.
5/29/2006 12:09:18 AM
Fantastic Four worstX-Men series bestjust my opinion on the ones ive seen. but it's probably not anywhere near popular opinion
5/29/2006 12:09:37 AM
I honestly think I liked constantine the best, with spiderman 1 a close second.i enjoyed (not in preference order)batman beginsBlade Triologythe CrowHellboy MIB IThe Rocketeer (I expected campy and was happy with what I got...)Spiderman2DaredevilTMNT XMEN 1 and 2Tank Girl (see Rocketeer note)LeagueThings I was neutral onThe something tommorow one done in the very campy 20s style. Once again, campy and i anted it that way.The MaskThings I didnt EnjoyXMen 3Fantastic FourSin city - but not for the plot or anything like that, various scenes very much bothered me (to the point i felt sick), but I will happily admit it was wonderfully done and acted, I just cannot take the level of violence and such that was in that one. The Crow : City of Angels (the craptastic sequel)The only thing outstanding on my list of to watch movies though in this genre is V for VendettaOH! And Ghost Rider when it comes out, but only becuase Nickolas (i cant spell) Cage is in it!!!![Edited on May 29, 2006 at 2:12 AM. Reason : b/c Cage is awesome]
5/29/2006 2:04:19 AM
hold on... was the original ender post his best, worst, or just a random listing?because if he listed tim burton's batman as a worst, i should flail him with a whipperstein.
5/29/2006 3:37:41 AM
Read the whole damn thread.
5/29/2006 9:42:08 AM
^^^ yeah i was wondering if sky capt was a comic (i figured it was). wanted to see it but never did.
5/29/2006 11:13:28 AM
I thought the Spiderman series was pretty spot-on, and should be up top. I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed X-Men, but that's probably because I always liked Spiderman more than the X-Men to begin with.I don't know, I always felt like they could have done a lot more with the characters in X-Men. It seems like they picked shitty villains, and didn't let the heroes shine enough. Is there any excuse for Cyclops being such a pussy? You can count the number of times he fires his eye lasers in the trilogy on one hand. He does absolutely nothing and then gets taken out like the trash.Wolverine, until the 3rd movie, basically got the shit stomped out of him all the time too. Why was Toad in the first movie, again? Also, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED WITH SABERTOOTHI don't know, I could go on and on and on about this kind of shit. I enjoyed the movies either way, but damn if I don't have to make a lot of excuses for them. Spiderman probably had an easier time with that kind of thing because there aren't as many characters to fuck up.

sorry guys batman 2 sucked....and everyone only talks about the new shit
5/29/2006 2:31:52 PM
I would have been all about the Thomas Jane Punisher except I thought Travolta's character totally ruined the entire movie.
5/29/2006 2:50:01 PM
^^ batman returns was one of my favorites
