So with Jean, Cyclops and Prof X dead...well kinda dead don't really know the status of him except he transfered his mind into that one guys. What do you think they'll do for X4 if there even is one?
5/26/2006 2:09:26 AM
so what the hell is everyone talking about after the credits?i didn't know i was supposed to stay
5/26/2006 2:12:58 AM
shadow king?sentinels?i thought it was pretty decent, not spectacular but definatly above averagethe guy from the beginning of the movie, with no conciousness 'woke up' spoke with professor x's voice and Moria (the doctor lady) responded "charles?!"[Edited on May 26, 2006 at 2:14 AM. Reason : 3]
5/26/2006 2:13:31 AM
You remember that one guy Prof X was talking about...who was born without a mind. He transfered his mind into that guys.
5/26/2006 2:13:36 AM
best line: I'm the Juggernaut Bitch!
5/26/2006 2:15:56 AM
^the whole line was "Don't you know who I am, I'm the Juggernaut bitch"
5/26/2006 2:17:10 AM
I was expecting a lot more from the Phoenix angle.
5/26/2006 2:22:03 AM
could yall rank the movie alsolike i gues out of 10 or something[Edited on May 26, 2006 at 2:26 AM. Reason : .]
5/26/2006 2:23:23 AM
5.5 I guess. Definitely not up to par with the others.]
5/26/2006 2:25:40 AM
this movie is a 7 at best. worth $6.50? I don't know. But it has little moments of brilliance for sure. I definitely think a lot of it was under developed though as far as story line. Why so short? Definitely setting up for #4. Aren't there 6 total planned/franchised?
5/26/2006 2:28:27 AM
I couldn't resist clicking this threadnow i'm
5/26/2006 2:29:10 AM
i'd give it 7.9/10
5/26/2006 2:30:17 AM
ok how bout thisbetter or worse than the second one
5/26/2006 2:31:03 AM
were you really entertained enough to give it a 7.9? explain?
5/26/2006 2:31:35 AM
It's interesting how most of the scenes were from comics.1) Professor X transferring his mind - Jean Grey did that in Uncanny X-Men #281 when she was killed by a Sentinel. She transferred her mind into the body of the White Queen who was comatose.2) Logan killing Jean - Straight out of Endsong. Jean asks Logan to kill her so she can "start over". He ends up killing her 5 or 6 times and she keeps coming back. Logan also killed Jean in "Planet-X" X-Men #149 when Magento Hurled them into the sun.3) Rogue goes to take the "cure" in Uncanny X-Men, but it turns out to be fake and she rejects it. I'm madd she took in. In the book she doesn't take it.4) "Jean Wrapped herself in a telekinetic cocoon....." - The Phoenix Saga all the way. And why the hell didn't we get to see her rising from the water.

http://www.wimp.com/juggernaut/link explaining why everyone erupted when he said "i'm the juggernaut bitch"
5/26/2006 2:32:26 AM
I liked the second one way more.
5/26/2006 2:33:43 AM
5/26/2006 2:37:08 AM
I wonder why the hell he didn't at least try to cure her. Other than that, I really liked it. Beast turned out quite well, I think. And I just love Xavier and Mags.
5/26/2006 2:43:02 AM
okay cool. I agree that the little things were there when the big things failed. That does add points.
5/26/2006 2:44:46 AM
ahh you mean the cure deal.... yeah but i think it would have distentigrated before he could reach her....
5/26/2006 2:44:56 AM
5/26/2006 2:46:15 AM
juggernaut is NOT a fucking mutant
5/26/2006 3:00:08 AM
you guys must not know who he is....
5/26/2006 3:03:51 AM
They can't keep everything, sadly. Still, Marko ended up being way better than Sabertooth. Man, Sabertooth sucked.
5/26/2006 3:06:03 AM
and i hate to be one of those "i saw it coming" people, because i hate thembut as soon as jean "scarlet witch'd" the professor (yes, i'm calling what she was doing "scarlet witching")i knew he was going to be in the vegetable
5/26/2006 3:06:36 AM
I didn't see that coming. I'm glad I sat through the credits.
5/26/2006 3:09:45 AM
Teaser for "Snakes on a Plane" was well worth it!
5/26/2006 3:15:40 AM
hayeah, i've been worried this whole time about freaking out whenever i saw one of thosebecause i'm hella afraid of snakesbut it was funny enough that i didn't freak out
5/26/2006 3:16:18 AM
sorry, this was a let down. 2>1>3
5/26/2006 3:26:35 AM
how full were the theaters you guys saw the midnight shows in?there were 2 PACKED theaters in greenville tonight
5/26/2006 3:30:13 AM
I went to that new cinema in Apex. Fairly full, not packed.
5/26/2006 3:31:40 AM
I didn't see it at midnight. Watched it a bit before that. That's just how I roll.from what i understand it was pretty filled, but not sold out at the grande
5/26/2006 3:57:42 AM
i guess that makes sense, there were probably 4 or 5 places doing screenings in raleighbut basically the theater in greenville was the only one doing a midnight showing for at least an hour in all directions, an hour & a half in someso i'm sure i'm not the only hyper-obsessed fanboy who drove 40 minutes for this...
5/26/2006 3:59:33 AM
You have issues, don't you?
5/26/2006 4:01:13 AM
uhmyeahbut at least i can admit it
5/26/2006 4:02:11 AM
Man, I was entertained, but so many things bugged me about this movie.I hated cyclops, but it still seemed odd that when he died nobody really seemed to mind. Didn't it seem weird that wolverine made a bigger deal about it than anyone else? I mean even when he had just run off I expected more than "oh yeah, he's changed since she died. anyways, let's talk about important stuff..."From the last x-men movie to this we see wolverine's character go from bad-ass with a soft spot for runaways and hard-luck cases to mr sensitive with claws. Didn't that bother anyone?Mystique is a fairly important character in many plotlines, and losing her powers like that just jerked me out of the story too much. Even though it seems that the "cure" might not be all it's cracked up to be, seeing that many important characters killed or neutered served more to disrupt the flow of the story than anything else. When mystique lost her powers, scott died, and professor x died... I kind of just had to go "huh?"None of the new characters seemed fleshed out or inspiring or even interesting really. There was a half hearted attempt to make kitty pride have some depth, but she was really just a plot device thinly disquised as a love interest. I think colosus had almost as many lines in X2 as he did in this movie. Rogue went from being kind of useless but having potential if they played the plot right to being completely useless with almost no hope in sight.Ah well. Could have been much better and truer to the material. I think they just tried to cover too much with too little directing talent and time. The pheonix saga was cosmic is scope and this felt fairly shallow. At least they've hinted that almost everything they did in this is reversible to some extent (x's death, magneto and mystique losing their powers) and hell phoenix is pheonix right? or... did they turn her into scarlet witch... meh.

^Beast would have to be the exception to my statements about new characters.
5/26/2006 4:06:42 AM
^^^^ You totally fucked that up.What you should have said: Hell yeah I have issues! Uncanny X-Men #1-465, mint condition. X-Factor #1-70, etc... [Edited on May 26, 2006 at 4:07 AM. Reason : ^^^^]

I think this review is pretty accurate:
5/26/2006 4:12:17 AM
i just want to kill someone when i hear that mutant=homosexual BULLSHIT THEORYGET IT FUCKING RIGHT PEOPLEIT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOMOSEXUALITYA MUTANT IS A METAPHOR FOR A PERSON AGAINST ADVERSITYyes that can be "compared" to a homosexual BUT THAT IS NOT THE ONLY GOD DAMN COMPARISON YOU STUPID FUCKS
5/26/2006 10:26:10 AM
^ Yeah that's kind of abnoxious how people do that. I swear people see something that remotely applies to themselves and can't grasp how it could possibly to anyone else.
5/26/2006 10:28:05 AM
and those people should be killed
5/26/2006 10:33:10 AM
I'd give it an 8, maybe 8.5/10. I really enjoyed this one, but it just seemed so rushed. The running time was, what, an hour 20? Seemed like they chopped up a solid 3 hour movie and made this. Either way, I'M THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH!
5/26/2006 10:40:21 AM
yeah I really hate that group of people who don't get the tolerance message like I do.
5/26/2006 10:44:05 AM
momma always told me not to kick it with them spidermonkeys.
5/26/2006 10:47:51 AM
whats that from?
5/26/2006 10:48:43 AM
There's a slight difference between intolerance of someone because of what they are and being intolerant of egocentrism. I'm not going to get into a nature vs. nurture argument, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say egocentrism isn't something you're usually born with.
