He's hitting .375 and has almost as many RBI in May as PujolsI like seeing guys with potential come back from injuries; I keep holding out hope Griffey can become a superstar again.
5/25/2006 2:42:28 AM
I hope he keeps it up. And doesn't get injured again.
5/25/2006 2:54:55 AM
NOOOOOOOOOOMAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
5/25/2006 3:04:51 AM
too bad, i bet the braves could've gotten him for cheap too.
5/25/2006 8:29:34 AM

5/25/2006 9:12:15 AM
more like some calcium and some fucking glucosamineTHE KIDS CALLED ME MR. GLASS
5/25/2006 10:13:04 AM
Griffey is a great icon for the game and young hittersIts why hes always been my favorite playerhopefully he'll wear a yankees uniform before he retiresprobably when hes way to old and will be way overpaid, like everyone else the yanks have now
5/25/2006 10:13:34 AM
the day griffey wears a yankees uniform I will really reconsider my love for the game
5/25/2006 12:04:09 PM
^,^^ you guys are both gh3ythe day griffey wears a yankees uniform is the day when i lose alll respect for him
5/25/2006 12:14:54 PM
i think you misunderstood what ^^ is sayinghe's basically agreeing with you
5/25/2006 12:16:13 PM
understandable, thats just who i pull forso its not that strange to want my favorite players on that team
5/25/2006 1:53:38 PM
maybe i should rephrase it. i won't lose my love for the game, but i'm with you, i'll lose all respect for him. he's been one of my favorite players since i started watching baseball and it would crush me to see him in a damn yankee uniform. i'd still love the game though.
5/25/2006 2:04:02 PM
yeah i understand, i would probably hate him if he ended up on the redsox...but id still rock my mariners Jr. cap
5/25/2006 2:14:18 PM
who else had the griffey turf shoes back in the day? one of the first shoes i remember with the wrap around air bubble.
5/25/2006 3:02:47 PM
i had several pairs of the black and white high-top griffey cleats
5/25/2006 3:04:21 PM
I had them, they had the number on the toeI bought the regular ones and the special edition ones with the TPX logo on themthought i was the shit
5/25/2006 3:38:00 PM
bttt for the 22-game hitting streak
7/14/2006 1:02:25 AM
Griffey has by far the most recognizable swing ever in the history of the game.
7/14/2006 1:04:57 AM
except that Ruth guy.
7/14/2006 1:17:26 AM
David Justice had the most recognizable swing.
7/14/2006 3:50:08 AM
^ noruth probablygriffy. top 3and ya I had the black and teal griffy's
7/14/2006 4:05:40 AM
Ruth (even though he copied Shoeless Joe's swing), Bonds, and Williams all have swings that I can see clear as day in my mind. Griffey is up there though - I'd say top 10something about lefties...[Edited on July 14, 2006 at 4:40 AM. Reason : Bonds number 1 though, by far]
7/14/2006 4:34:48 AM
well I think it's kidna like the greatest catch thing ... at any given time theres 50 or so greatest ever catches....I mean. I can picture right now ... bagwell, mcqwire, bonds, williams, ruth, gherig, griffy, bonds etc. really unique interesting swings. soemthing about the way griffey stands tall and waggles the bat with the back elbow straight out. completely against everything you're taught as a little leaguer
7/14/2006 4:42:06 AM
NOMAAAAHHHHHHAVE MY BABAY NOMAAAAAAHHH
7/14/2006 8:23:47 AM
Dave Justice? most recognizable swing? HA. 20 bucks says youre a braves fanMost recognizable swings in no particular order:McGwireIchiroJulio FrancoRuthGriffySheffield
7/14/2006 8:30:40 AM
^ gotta add daryl strawberry to your list.
7/14/2006 8:38:29 AM
For some reason Sosa and Cecil Fielder's names popped into my head when thinking about memorable swings. But then again....so did Eric Davis.
7/14/2006 9:19:54 AM
Sosa's squat and Bagwells squat makes their stance uniquewhat Sosa does after hr hits a HR is what i remember (the hop/skip)
7/14/2006 9:24:10 AM
I loved Will Clark's swing, it was beautiful
7/14/2006 10:16:54 AM
7/14/2006 10:19:07 AM
Thome and Edmonds have beautiful upper cut swings
7/14/2006 10:19:30 AM
Will Clark, ftw.
7/14/2006 10:25:30 AM
can we all agree that Griffey has the most beautiful swing ever in baseball? I dont think you can deny that it's the smoothest.
7/15/2006 11:01:04 AM
most recognizable swing?[Edited on July 15, 2006 at 12:34 PM. Reason : oh fo sho]
7/15/2006 12:33:49 PM
most recognizable swing DOES NOT EQUAL most recognizable stance. Any ball player knows that stance is just a way of setting up your timing and location of the swing.. it's not the swing.Julio Franco wins that, or maybe the great Cal Ripken.
7/15/2006 1:00:48 PM
Mickey Tettleton had a crazy stance too. I can't find a picture of it though.Griffey still has the sweetest swing in the game.
7/16/2006 12:51:10 AM
julio franco wins the 'biggest fucking bat ever' award
7/16/2006 1:12:10 AM
7/16/2006 1:25:25 AM
cal ripken had 173 different batting stances in his career
7/16/2006 1:44:12 AM
talk about batty
9/20/2006 2:02:31 AM
julio played 3rd last nightHe was in a wheelchair, and just fell off to the left or right to field grounders
9/20/2006 10:06:50 AM
No Wright, Reyes, Delgado, Beltran, Lo Duca, Floyd, Green, Valentin... no problem. Julio actually made a pretty nice play for a 78 year old but his throw was a bit late...
9/20/2006 11:03:12 AM
a-rod does have a very smooth swing. him and griffy I'd have tied.
9/20/2006 11:12:02 AM
definitely not the prettiest, but big Mo had one of the most explosive swings of all timeA lot like Ortiz now, every time he hit the ball in the air you thought it was going 500 feet
9/20/2006 11:36:03 AM
that Dodgers comeback on Monday was freaking amazing
9/20/2006 11:43:46 AM
