when i hook up my computer to the tvi through dvi the game limits me to a max resolution of 1024X768 does anyone have any idea why I cant go to max resolution? thanks

might not be the answer you're looking for

but go get an xbox 360 and nhl 2k6

perhaps that's the highest resolution your TV can handle. Or maybe that's the max it will allow through the DVI input. Or maybe that's the max that your video card will send through DVI. Or maybe it's some other factor. If you give more details you're more likely to find an answer.

thanks for the info but the resolution is only limited in the game, I can run my desktop and any other program at any resolution thanks

i now have some input thats more useful (potentially) than my first post

if i have some people over in my living room and want to show them something on the computer, i have s-video 50' cable running from videocard output to tv input...just turn the tv to an auxiliary channel and i can show them pictures and all that

but if i want to show a VIDEO, i have to go into my graphics card settings and change the PRIMARY DISPLAY to my TV...with my particular setup I cant watch videos on both my computer monitor and TV

if you only have one monitor/tv hooked up this probably wont help, but it maybe a setting in your computer's video card settings if you do have both a monitor and tv hooked up
