graduated dec 05 and i've worked for my dad (he's an architect) since then. i finally found something closer to what i went to school for. now i'll be a "laboratory technologist" in wilson w/ a nutritional analysis company.i sent a thank you note the very next morning after the interview. when they offered me the job the lady told me over and over how much they appreciated the thank you note. they said it really made it clear that i was the one for the job.always send your thank you notes, kids.

Man, they're gonna be sorely disappointed when they find out the so called sweet thank-you card sending young lady is actually a raging bitch.

5/24/2006 8:33:30 PM
I have never for one second been upset at you. That would imply I care. You're just a miserable bitch and it makes me happy to call you out on it.
5/24/2006 9:11:22 PM
why are you two angry at each other?
5/24/2006 9:22:52 PM
i am far from miserable. life is very good right now.just chill...let it go. take a deep breath. it'll be alright.there are more important things in life than tww, you know.

5/25/2006 9:05:17 AM
i thought everyone sent a thank you noteits kinda like proper job etiquette
5/25/2006 4:00:55 PM
did you send an old fashioned one or an email?
5/25/2006 5:48:44 PM
What company is this?
5/25/2006 7:39:40 PM
I always send thank you notes after interviews and I have always thought that they really set you apart from all the other people who are either too lazy to do it or don't know any better. The irony of this is that I had an interview on Wednesday, sent the note off Thursday morning, but got the second interview with the president (for the hiring) this morning. Now unless mail gets delivered SUPER early to their office, she hadn't even received the card yet. Maybe they aren't as important as I thought...

This will almost certainly get you hired for an entry-level sales job. Thank you notes are very highly regarded in that world.

I thought some places liked them, and some places didn't. I think it might depend on the company/industry

email thank-you is appropriate.a snail-mail thank-you letter is desperate and an instant turn-off

last August I crashed a wedding and got a job offer[Edited on May 30, 2006 at 6:19 PM. Reason : offer]

I definitely write thank-yous after interviews, especially if I want the job. I usually do it in the method through which we primarily communicated, which is usually email.
7/2/2006 6:27:36 PM
I didn't write a 'thank you' as so much as a follow up email thanking for the interview and saying it was nice to speak with you...etc...at any rate.. i was offered the job
7/5/2006 10:23:34 PM
yeah. I wrote a nice thank you note after my interview with my current employer. Evidently, getting my mom to proof read and edit it/make more polished must have paid off.The guys that hired me say it was my personality. I say it was the thank you. My personality was a bonus.
