i havent had sound since january. i thought it might had been somethin w/ the sound card, but apparently it took the gateway douche an hour to tell me that he couldnt help me b/c it was indeed not a hardware problem. so he gave me a number for software support but its $2.99 a minute and im not about to pay that shit. if anyone thinks they can help let me know.o, btw, fuck gateway.

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers via the device manager.You may also try looking for updates in Add/Remove Programs that were installed back in January and may be related to the sound card. Sometimes 'updated' drivers don't work so hot.
