hey,
I tried to turn on my 4th gen. ipod today and it wont respond at all. The hold button is not on and it has been fully charged. Any ideas on what to do? I dont want to send it in to be fixed but wondering if I need a new harddrive or what? Thanks

^^ya wasnt able to start it today, I had it on last on May 10th i believe

^ i had it left on the charger for 2 days...which isnt unusual for me to leave it on that long so that wasnt the problem

ive looked all over the internet to try and find some kind of fix but nothing works...do you think its a battery issue, harddrive or wha?

-also when i plug it into the wall or computer, no battery charge symbol comes up or anything any more

Hold down the menu and the center button for about 10 seconds (count slowly).

^that should be the solution. mine froze and you gotta hold the middle button and then menu button for 10 secs which resets the ipod (but you dont lose your songs)

if that doesnt work then it's probably fried

i had already tried that reset tip earlier but it didnt work either. I have had it for a year this month. I've left it on the charger again and still no luck and the reset is no good so can anyone guess the part that is broken?

if they can't/won't tell you what's wrong, or can't/won't warranty it, let me know, i might buy it if it's busted
