ITECS (College of Engineering IT support) has an opening for a student with web development experience (XHTML/CSS, XML, PHP/MySQL). The current position is for 10 hours per week through the end of the summer with the potential for further employment in the next school year. Additional hours may also become available from other College of Engineering offices needing development in the same architecture, or in the Fall. This position is targeted to detail-oriented university students with strong skills in:

HTML/XHTML with CSS layouts
PHP/MySQL coding, or a solid programming background
Web based communication through writing
Personal communication through writing
Designing site navigation and organization

University students who are already working on or near campus for the summer and need more hours, or are taking a light summer class load, are preferred. Students interested in continuing work into the Fall are also preferred. Understanding of web accessibility issues and familiarity with Dreamweaver is a plus. Hours are flexible, but we prefer a student who can consistently work around 10 hours a week (for the summer) except during exams.

Interested candidates should contact ITECS through this web form and include an HTML or one page PDF resume at http://www.itecs.ncsu.edu/webservices/summerposition/ . The application will close on Monday, May 29, 2006. We will interview potential candidates as they become available.
