he was cheered his first ab, then he homeredand then he was booed for the remainder of the game
5/22/2006 10:40:45 PM
what?
5/23/2006 5:19:11 PM
he stuck the shit out of that second HR
5/23/2006 5:19:34 PM
Crede, he was not booed in his second AB, in which he hit a "long" single down to left field which set the A's up for another run. On his third AB there were some facetious "boo's" and then he promptly knocked that one out of the park. 4th AB there were a few Boo's, but fans were appreciative throughout[Edited on May 23, 2006 at 5:39 PM. why would anyone boo frank thomas?
5/24/2006 12:22:37 AM
He and the GM did not part on good terms, was on SC a couple months ago, they went at it. He is making 1M this year in Oakland, and I'm guessing the White Sox wouldn't even pay him that much, and I'm guessing he felt his service over the years was reason enough to give him that much? Does MLB have a minimum wage seniority based system like the NBA?
5/24/2006 12:35:14 AM
if it's like the nfl it's in the 600k neighborhood eh ?
5/24/2006 12:52:16 AM
Well Alan Henderson of the Cavs who rides the bench and I would assume is their 12th man, makes in excess of a million, and his service in terms of years would be comrpable to Thomas's???? So I would expect Thomas is making more than MLB minimum wage simply because he left the White Sox, in other words, why would he get in a dispute and go somewhere where the pay is the same, unless the personal scars were to severe, but money usually takes care of personal scars. Also notable, Alan Houston made the second most money this year in the NBA behind Shaq.

I swear I read somewhere that he is making a million, must be with a signing bonus or something of that nature. Quite the paycut from last season though.
5/24/2006 1:18:05 AM
lebron james only making 4.6 mill/year with the cavs. . . crazy.
5/24/2006 1:27:53 AM

5/24/2006 7:54:07 PM
He's 4 years yonger than Bonds. Shouldn't he be hitting them out of the park?
