Ok, i recently swapped my PC guts into a new case and after getting it all hooked up i turn it on and then the monitor says no input. so far i have:

re-mounted all the cards, ram, cmos battery, and ide's
tried different IDE cables, different monitors, different VGA cables
tried a different video card

there are no POST beeps and the HD light is steadily on

someone please let me know if they have any idea what might be a good fix

try setting it all up outside the case. put it on a non-conductive surface. I'll bet the motherboard is grounding out on the new case somehow.

did you leave the cmos battery out for an hour before putting it back in?

oh and can you hear the hdd chugging...like its booting into windows? i suspect not but it would help.

did you try a pci video card?

assume youve reseated the ram...maybe reseat the proc?

but yeah, do what rogueleader said.

ill give it a shot, thanks for the input guys. Ill probably take it all out tonight and put it together in the morning, thatll give the battery time to sit out too

HDs sound like theyre just running and HD light is just on, not blinking. I dont have a PCI card so i might give it a shot if i can get my hands on one.

well, took the battery out over night, set the computer up on my desk out of the case, and same problem. So, any other suggestions. As of now im guessing its a bad AGP slot on the mobo.

could be the motherboard itself. If you can't figure it out here give Mitsuba a call. He has testing equipment there to tell if a mobo is bad or not.

Mitsuba Intl (located near NCSU surplus) off of blue ridge rd.
