i just got a new laptop, cheapy just for composition and excelcame with word pad.....i booted that, or thought that i did... and installed officehow do i set it up so that all files are opened with MS word?currently all saved documents are saved with word pad, even after composing in MS wordso i guess i also need to figure out how to completely get rid of word pad

open the file explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options, open the File Types tab, find the DOC extension and change its stuff there[Edited on May 19, 2006 at 9:17 AM. Reason : image]
