For anyone who cares: Kobe whining on TNT for Charles calling him out--> right now. At least Kobe came on TNT face to face this time.[Edited on May 17, 2006 at 8:18 PM. Reason : .]

crap...I missed it.they run replays of the TNT halftime and postgame shows on NBA.com the following day.so I guess I'll see it tomorrow
5/17/2006 8:26:10 PM
fuck i hate i missed it
5/17/2006 9:00:20 PM
Kobe's such a little bitch."We were sticking with the plan that worked for three games that series..."Well Kobe....you lost the last two games with that same plan and you were getting your ass beat in Game 7 with that plan. There is no excuse for the most dynamic scorer in the NBA to only score 1 point in the second half. Admit you fucked up Kobe...you could have at least tried to take over the game. Major dissapointment in Game 7 from Kobe. Charles called his ass out and he was right.
5/17/2006 9:03:38 PM
sir charles don't lie or bullshiti love him
5/17/2006 11:59:56 PM
i dont like Kobebut it wasnt his faulthis team sucks assits a miracle they won 3 gamesCharles is cool but sometimes hes a fucking idiot
5/18/2006 9:55:48 AM
i bet if that was MJ's team he would have taken over in the second half and scored more than 1 pointkobe sucks, he was only good due to shaq
5/18/2006 10:58:56 AM
5/18/2006 11:04:35 AM
this is truekobe is no michael jordanand never will be
5/18/2006 11:40:30 AM
and shaq cant do it by himself either, he has to have a Kobe or Wadealso MJ never scored 81 in a gamealso the athleticism of the average NBA player in Jordan's day was 10% of that today in Kobe's ageJordan would have scrubs like Craig Ehlo and Brian Russell single teaming him...I mean shit he better be able to make shots against those losers]
5/18/2006 12:01:51 PM
Kobe has also never been hand checked.
5/18/2006 1:30:05 PM
I don't know how you can even remotely say that Kobe was "whining".
5/18/2006 1:46:37 PM
both nba.com and tnt.com have the interview for viewing if you have not seen it already.
5/18/2006 1:57:11 PM
He sits there and speaks well and voices his pointIt may throw a lot of basketball fans off though because he doesn't fuck up verb tense every 20 seconds.
5/18/2006 2:07:46 PM
from what i saw when kobe was on there, he did a good job. didnt see the interview with charles, but i thought he did a great job not sounding like a common NBA thug.
5/18/2006 2:56:49 PM
They HAVE to have dikembe mutumbo as a guest at some pointHearing him talk, you might understand 3 regular english words the whole night
5/18/2006 3:04:36 PM
OK. I guess well-spoken people can't whine and make excuses."We were sticking with the plan that worked for three games that series [and I'm not going to step up and provide my team with any offense when they need it now]..."Kobe demanded to be "the man" in LA, but wouldn't be a man when his team needed him. Charles called him out and Kobe had no answer.
5/18/2006 3:33:55 PM
GO CLIPPERS!!!
5/18/2006 3:36:37 PM
Charles knows what it takes to win an NBA Championshipoh wait^^^

What has Kobe done without the most dominating center of the last 15 years, nada. What did Jordan do without one SOB on his entire team wortha damn (whoops Jud Buechler), achieved immortal status from every kid in America and made those teammates better than anyone could predict. The "players are more athletic today" is irrlevant. It's no contest folks, nor will it ever be. 95% of the people in this forum couldn't tell you the starting center for the bulls for the 91-93 and 96-98 era's. But they could tell you the center for any other champ. team, because the big man is the focal point of any team, except in Jordan's case, which is ridiculous.I do agree that Barkley looks for trouble and talks an awful big game for a guy who never won a ring, but it is entertaining and you can bet TNT loves the ratings when NBA players themselves are watching haftime shows.
5/18/2006 4:19:48 PM
^ Bill Cartwright, Wennington, Luc Longley. And I hate the Bulls. And Pippen/Rodman helped him out too, and they weren't one of those lousy SOB's either.Kobe did a great job, always sounding intelligent and well versed and mannered. I love watching the TNT guys, they make my day. Kenny's Kobe's pictures was pretty funny. EJ runs the show and hardly anything is scripted over there. It makes for some entertaining tv. I'm sure they like the fact that they have the attention of most NBA players. Gone Fishin and some of the other things are entertaining. Only on TNT could you even get Sir Charles to call out Kobe like that. I wish they could do other things than basketball though. I'd love to hear Barkley call out some football players.
5/18/2006 4:28:32 PM
the common nba thug

^^After '91, the Lakers were nobodies and before '96, the Lakers were nobodies. Vlade DivacNick Van ExelEddie JonesCedric CeballosElden CampbellSedale Threatt...and that's all that's coming to me off the top of my head. Then Shaq left the Magic to go to the Lakers in 96, and Vlade was traded to the Hornets for Kobe. Jordan retired before the Lakers got good.[Edited on May 18, 2006 at 4:56 PM. yeah i guess i mainly meant the quality teams that Jordan's Bulls beat in the playoffs were the early 90s Pistons (after their titles), the early 90s Lakers (still with Magic, etc before they "rebuilt"), and the Rockets with Akeem and Clyde
5/18/2006 5:00:00 PM
1992 Lakers. (Yes, I looked this up.) Lost in the 1st rd of the playoffs 3-1 to the Western Conf Champion Trailblazers. Thats a fucking money team, even without Magic.
