Whenever my laptop comes back from standby, I have to restart it to get internet working again. it keeps trying to make a connection but never does. any suggestions?

i am using a netgear wireless card

i'll bet either you need new drivers or you are using the linksys befsw411 (whatever the model # is for the 802.11B wireless router)

happened on several different routers
