So, I've heard that summer session courses are generally easier than regular sessions. From experience would you think that this would apply to foreign language courses as well? The thought of having to cram an entire semester of French into five weeks scares me a bit, but I need to take 201 and 202 before I graduate and since next year is my final year, it might be best to go ahead and get one of those out of the way just in case.

i did 2 spanish classes over the summer, and 1 during the fall. summer was way easier. smaller class sizes in the summer (also much better parking situation) allows for more conversation... the kind of social situation that is helpful for speaking & learning a language. also in 5 week sessions you can remember it all so much easier when it comes time for the final. i did alright during the fall class, but i found it very beneficial to have the small class sizes & shorter time periods to remember things for. being able to remember class discussions from the first day of class during the final makes studying for it so much easier.
