Is there a way using outlook to send a copy of an email to someone else? For example, I'm sending something to my friend, is there a way the same email can be sent to someone else without me knowing it? not talking about CC or BCC. The original sender does not know the email is being read by the third party, is that possible? If so where do I look to cut it off? We think some of our emails have been intercepted by someone else in the office, so we are just making sure.

Anything could be done at the mail server.

is there a way to track it to see if that is really happening or if we are just paranoid?

If your sysadmin really wanted to screw you, there's nothing you could do.One way out would be to use a different outgoing mail server...preferably one that uses a secure channel.

someone could setup a rule in outlook to that effect...itd be pretty low-tech but prob worth checking

honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. The other day the guy that sets up the emails approached a co-worker and was very pushy about setting up his home email address on outlook on his work computer. That is why we thought it was being done. As of now, we think they have it set up on one of my co-workers computers, of course now I can't email her to tell her what to look for, I'll have to wait till she gets back from vacation!
