Use this method to connect our home theater systems to a compatible TV for a clear, vibrant image. * Progressive Scanning DVD PlayerProgressive Scanning (480p) creates a picture signal with double the scan lines of a conventional DVD interlaced picture (480i), resulting in higher picture resolution, sharper image quality, and the elimination of virtually all motion artifacts. In order to take advantage of a progressive scan DVD player, your TV must be capable of accepting and displaying a progressive scan signal (480p). * DVD-Audio Compatibility DVD-Audio delivers a full-range, multi-channel sound field more impressive than any current music format. Many of our receivers are equipped with an amplifier that can faithfully reproduce the wide frequency range, outstanding S/N ratio, and 5-channel surround sound of DVD-Audio. * HighMAT High-Performance Media Access Technology (HighMAT), co-developed by Panasonic and Microsoft, designed to significantly improve interoperability for digital media content between PCs and popular electronic devices such as CD players, car stereos and DVD players. HighMAT is a digital-media standard that provides a dramatically improved method of storing, arranging and playing back personal digital photo, music and video collections on recordable discs such as CD-RW media. At this time, our HighMAT-compatible Panasonic products have HighMAT Level 2 functionality which includes compatibility only with audio files and JPEG still image files. -- HOME THEATER RECEIVER ---------------------------OUTPUT POWER- Home Theater Mode (FTC)- Total Output Power: 580WFront : 100W x 2 (120Hz-20kHz, 6 ohms, 1% THD)Center : 140W (120Hz-20kHz, 4 ohms, 1% THD)Surround : 45W x 2 (120Hz-20kHz, 4 ohms, 1% THD)Subwoofer : 150W (45Hz-120Hz, 4 ohms, 1% THD) FEATURES - Dolby Pro Logic DecoderRear Wireless Ready (can connect to SH-FX50 Rear Wireless Receiver and Transmitter).360 degree SoundH. loud != goodAlso, 500 bucks is not even CLOSE to top of the line home audio.A top of the line receiver alone will run more then 500 bucks.
5/8/2006 7:25:36 AM
Top of the line is a $10,000 system +. Still a nice system. Good range and solid base. Very nice for someone without walled neighbors.
5/8/2006 8:17:31 AM
1% thd isn't top of the line
5/8/2006 11:35:25 AM
"top of the line" = for a college student without a fat bank roll. you won't find a system for this price with th sound quality you receive.
