I just got a new setup for my car and the amp is a Dual XIA2460. It has an LED light that is green when everything is fine, red if there is a problem. I hooked everything up and cant figure out why it is red still? When I unplug the RCA cables at either end (i tried unplugging one side, then the other) the LED turns green again.

Are my RCA cables grounded out somewhere? Or could I have a different configuration problem?

when you grounded it, did you use a grinding wheel to strip away all the paint and the protective coating? if you just used an existing bolt or drilled a screw straight into the paint your probably not getting proper ground contact which will cause the amp to behave intermitantly
