Right now she's tied for 17th at -5, and has a decent shot of finishing in the top ten at the SK Telecom Open. Also, she's planning on qualifying for the US Open in a few weeks, which I think she may have a shot of getting in. Your thoughts?

I dont think she'll qualify for the US Open...She's hot though.

I am sick and tired of women doing this crap. She hasn't even won an event on the LPGA tour. If this is gonna be the case they should merge the LPGA with the Nationwide Tour use that as a minor league and make the PGA open to everyone. This just gives the talking heads on ESPN something to yap about. If she makes the US Open she will do horribly because the greens are tricky at the US Open and she is a horrible putter. Just another example of why Nike is ruining sports.

Key word being Asian.

is this bitch legal yet?
5/5/2006 7:27:29 PM
congratulations to her...now that she's proved she can make the cut at a men's event maybe she can go back to playing LPGA events... and perhaps actually WINNING from time to time...seems like going to tournaments only to play a day or two in the qualifying rounds wouldn't be the best way to develop her game, but then, what do i know about golf...

^^She just now turned 16. So the answer is no.

i would probably say that Nike has a lot to do with pressing her to play in mens events, so I have a hard time faulting her on this....and I don't really fault nike, they paid that bitch 10 million bucks to rep their brand, and she is only worth that as a young woman attacking the old boys clubthey failed with ty tryon, so they are trying to make up for it with wie

she is going to be a gorgeous woman, that is all I will say

you guys are just haters and dont want to admit that a woman (GIRL) is better than most men at a sport.
5/5/2006 10:57:43 PM
^No one is denying her talent, and that she is a very good golfer, and that she could hang with the men.But she could at least work on dominating the women from time to time, instead of just being "competitive" with the big boys.
5/5/2006 11:05:57 PM
^^Look at her stats when she plays on the PGA Tour, not the Asian tour.Nobody is hating on her. She just needs to prove she can beat women first. Paula Creamer and Annika Sorenstam are still light years ahead of her.

^^ Not really. Last major she was one off the lead and went for the win with a aggressive 20 foot eagle chip, missed, and then missed the birdie putt coming back to fall one back. She's shown she can compete at their level. ^ I do, however, agree with that. She does have tons of potential in her, though.[Edited on May 6, 2006 at 11:51 AM. Reason : derp]

This whole "she needs to win on the womens tour first" idea is stupid.Did you say Lebron and Kobe needed to prove themselves in college first?Doubt it.So what if she wants to skip a level? The women's tour isn't gonna prepare her for the men's tour and that appears to be her ultimate goal. The women's and men's tour are completely different and trust me i realize that most of you don't comprehend that, so im gonna spell it out for you.THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.Whats the point of wasting ten years tailoring her game to the womens tour if thats not what she wants to do.That's like saying hey i wanna be an engineer but im gonna waste the first four years of college getting a bachelor degree in soil science.Sure a class here and there may transfer over, but ultimately its a waste of time.

i'd like to cut her
